I love the portability of these things. I see the comments about how much can it run, etc. it’s not meant to be a commercial system. I notice a huge difference between my capabilities from my early 20’s to my mid 30’s and I’m all about portable light weight gear to use. Battery operated vacuums are coming a long way as well which is great for crevices. Not as powerful as the gas powered but still,

The concentrator works very well with the dual pumps. In the video the pumps are a pair of 1100 GPH pumps = 2200 GPH = . We found a new pump since this video we are now using a American made Johnson 1250 GPH pump = 2500 GPH = 37.50 GPM. 37 GPM is plenty of flow for a small sluice like this. We have used in on the river a few times. I have had some feed back from cusotmers and all positive. The level of portablity was praised the only possible negative comment we one customer told me it took a little playing with to get the sluice box at the proper pitch. The trick to getting the maximum flow is the 2 x 1 hoses and a flood box that creates very little to no back pressure. I just spoke with my brother patrick and he has spoke with dozens of customers and they all love it. We have one customer that has several tons of concentrates that he is working over. Being a skeptical person he has repetly double check the tailing and they are clean.

I put a two by four and a rock when using the mini max slice box with the legs it makes it a lot more stable.
@KeeneEngInc8 жыл бұрын
Good question. The grizzly bar classier screen classifies everything down to 1/4" material. You can shovel larger material directly into the box with no problem. You can feed larger rocks around up to 4" but it makes sense to feed the Mini Max with smaller material or even pre-classify down to half inch if possible. I prefer not to carry a buck full of rocks if possible.

This was my first attempt at setting up a recirculation system on the Mini Max. I have learned a lot since then. The biggest change is using larger tubs and more water. Having the third container is a much better system and better at the separation of water and material.

the longer legs makes it good for clean up. I raise our highbanker to do the clean up and made a recurculating sluice system using my A52 box and would never give my A52 up for anything!
@rockmusicornot.17258 жыл бұрын
I had some doubts at first but the more that I look into this unit, the more I "dig" it. Sample,clean up, recirculate, compact and I love the fact that if something goes wrong out in the field mechanically, you at least have a complete sluice to revert to. (Instead of packing it in and losing a day). One bitchin idea for a machine.

This may seam expensive to some since we are in this China through away economy. This is a quality American made product that will last decades not days. The materials are heavy duty even the wing bolts are the best in the world. The legs are amazing, the engineering is fare superior to anything out there. The recovery is the best we have sold thousands all over the world and they are simply the best.

If i had that set-up,i would raise the sluice up,so i could put another yellow bucket under the bottom end,have a taller black tub under that,so all the dirt that gets right through the sluice,ends up in the yellow buckert,and i would run the sluice,until the bucket is full of pay dirt,not water,i would then turn the sluice off,and pan the dirt in the yellow bucket for any gold that got through the sluice system,possibly even extend the slice run to double what you see there,and have a yellow bucket at the end.

Hey Mark, great run down of the mini-max. I currently own the A52, will be purchasing the A51 within a week or so for smaller streams, and was considering the mini max for a future purchase. I have a few questions regarding this unit. First, what are the dimensions? Is it similar to the A52 in width/length? Second, what is an estimated expected run time of those two electric pumps on say a series 27 deep cycle battery? I know there are variables but wouldn't want to purchase the electric pumps if they will only run say 3 hrs and would require a gas pump regardless to finish the day. That being said, can you purchase the parts separately? I sent an email to your company asking about the leg kit that is on this unit for my A52. Finally, what are your thoughts of hooking this up as a 2'' dredge "with a gasoline eng. of course". Thanks again for any and all info. Looks like a great set up.

Keene Engineering Inc. Cut the water down to 500gph and git rid of the slick plate and put a low v mat all the way up to the top box before miracle mat. Gold will stay on the header box. Sorry Mark for calling you Larry. I would love to sit with you and your brother over some ideas of equipment from dredges to sluice boxes.
@cenobitetoastcrunch88035 жыл бұрын
My only concern is the hinge and header support taking a beating from the impact of shoveling heavier material and dense clay dirt. Obviously anyone with a brain will know not to hammer the header with 6 inch rocks, but after some time, the impact of of material would warp and bend the high stress areas.
@KeeneEngInc5 жыл бұрын
We have had these out for several years now and I have never seen a single issue with wear and tear on the joints. You are correct most people should have common sense in feeding the machine with smaller material. Definitely not hitting it with 6" rocks.

Can you use 2 2,000 gph pumps instead? The reason I ask is, my friend uses to 2 2,000 pumps on the older gold hog mini high banker model. The pumps work great with fine stuff.
@GBdefense118 жыл бұрын
Also, how big gravel can you put on that hopper. I want to buy this but I question the bar holding up that hopper. Obviously I am not going to put huge gravel cobbles on there but I would put be putting 3-4 inch gravel on there.

Mark, do you sell the "miracle mat" cut for the A52F? I deal with super fine to flour gold in my area. Thank you!

"Oh, yeah, there's all your gold right there." An unfortunate choice of words since WE can't see a thing. I'm 2/3 the way through one of the most frustrating videos I've ever seen. I think the sluice is probably great but this video does it an injustice. You could save it with copious editing and scripted narrative, however.
@KeeneEngInc7 жыл бұрын
Will I did the editing and I have a lot to learn. Sometimes there simply not enough time to complete the editing projects before something more important comes up. We put our efforts into building products and unfortunately our marketing instructions are lacking.
