Feel free to correct if I’m wrong: But from what I understand from my “top of the line” high school government class, a bill has to get out the door to survive meaning it has to have faced no opposition at all. But seeing as it has faced opposition, it’ll most likely die now because of it seeing as thousands of bills try to get off the ground only to die in a limbo like state just like the Virginia Gun bill. Again not sure if it’s true but I could be right?...

It's a bit more complicated than that. Basically, if a bill doesn't make it through all the hoops (committees, both chambers, and finally the governor, or president if federal) it dies at the end of the yearly legislative session. There are exceptions, and they used one for HB961. It was sent to a commision for "further study" and can be reintroduced next year. It can also be brought up again this year by Gov Blackface if he calls for a special session, which is where congress is called back outside of the normal legislative period, which is only 60 days in Virginia. If you remember, he called a special session last year after the Virginia Beach municipal building shooting, where a whole bunch of gun control BS bills where pushed, but Republicans still had majorities in both houses and they convened in only 90 minutes, which pissed off the gov and all the antis to no end, and honestly, probably contributed to at least some of the dem wins in November by both firing up the dem voters and making some of the republican voters complacent.
