I would have been interested to see how deep it cut into the table when the bit corkscrewed in the aluminium.

Рабочее поле никакое у этой конструкции, поэтому применён дремель и самый маленький китайский стол. Если тиски ещё на стол поставить то патрон совсем в неих упрётся рогами.

Only in Russia do they use aluminum for the main structural parts of machine tools instead of cast iron. This is nothing new even the huge ones use aluminum With lots of sand in it.

lol That thing is a piece of shit sorry to say. I can do what you did with a Dremel lol

That actually looks amazingly stable. Where did you find that heavy base? It looks like an old "really old" table drill press/arbor. Have you thought about stepper motors and a CNC program? I think you might have something there. Maybe ad a heavier duty table at some point. Not sure how long that Chinese abortion will hold up! Lol. Nice work my friend.

Similar to the Solution I did with a Wabeco Drillstand , Chinese Cast Iron Cross Table ( more rigid) and a Kress Motor.. But I guess you should use collets in your spindle. A drill chuck is not made for holding mills . Especially at high rpm. I got best results with 6mm TiAln coated single lip cutter at 300m/min witch is a bit over the rated speed for the cutter , but it works fine...

I think the Grizzly G8750 would do you better, albeit it's more costly but still relatively cheap, around $200 USD.

Grate bit of kit for those of us who can't afford a milling machine. It will perform like the proxon mf70 mill but the proxon motor burns out after 30 minutes of continuous use.

I have one of these milling tables. For the cost it is worth it. I do some minor mini million on wood and metal and plastic. Again it works but do not expect this to be amazingly accurate. It does get the job done though.

What is the heavy tool stand called? Can't read the label well. I ordered a tool stand to do similar work, but it is a joke compared to the one in this video. I have to say that every drill/tool stand I have seen is crap compared to that beast.

Is that as far in as the milling cutter will go, into the chuck?
