Mini Motorways - Tips and Tricks (and a 5000+ score)

I watched a LOT of mini motorways before I ever started playing myself. Trend towards 3k on every map just due to high intake of information from your videos

Been playing MM since PC launch and I still learned some things here! Also a great Chiang Mai score but also a blessed run with highways. I never realized that cars don't slow down for driveways. I guess I never actually checked since all I think about is cars pulling out from driveways jacking up traffic flow. It still seems to me that the least efficient setup on a busy road is a line of houses each connected to a separate road point. Since cars leaving and returning from each house are staggered (as long as there's no surge), it's a guarantee that plenty of cars on the street will come to a stop for one of those many driveways where as if there is only one entry\exit point on the road, only one car at a time from those houses can interrupt the flow. And then you can set it up like you showed so a certain house group has priority. I still think that for heavy traffic, lights or roundabouts are best. Seems like roundabouts are better until they fill up at which point traffic lights have a better throughput. I also try to have gentle curves to try to keep car speeds at max but you use some sharp turns and still get hella high scores so apparently road shapes are less important than I thought. I don't see many ppl using paths through parking lots to other locations either but you make it work as long as it's temporary. Plenty of things to try out for myself!

I have been playing since almost day one, with some very nice scores (until they modified the 3-ways intersections) After a quite long pause, I'm back into the game and jumped on your channel to see what I could learn. At 32:06, you could have moved circular pink's bridge to go horizontally across the river above the destination, then use the free'd up space as a path for the circular yellow to use the left entrance of the double destination rather than using a motorway.
