Kids need stuff like this in their hands instead of smartphones. Excellent curb from. Last year’s models. I grew up drag racing and working in my dads auto shop. I’m now in my mid 40’s and just recently the last month have jumped back into RC’s and I am really floored with RC car advancements in the last 30 years. I’ve been eyeballing drag cars for the last 2 weeks and I imagined all the adjustments that could be done on the Camaro I ordered an then literally overnight BooM these models come out with many of my thoughts on battery weight distribution and what not. Don’t even get me going on the awesome chassis learning tools the rc trucks provide. Kids need to be doing more hands on constructive learning with things like this. Awesome

Awesome!!! I gotta get one. For this platform, Losi absolutely has to do a retro of the Monogram S'cool Bus drag truck kit. When I was in grade school, every kid on the block built one. This was back in the late 1960's.

I just bought one. They are on sale for $60 off and I like it so much. I may get the other color. Right now I have black and I kind of flipped it and scratched the top so I was thinking of either buying another body or buying another whole car considering it’s only $169 now with the sale. And I know some people are complaining about little things, but I think the review was great. It’s for the average person like me matter fact I’m gonna start doing not reviews but something like look at’s I don’t want to call them reviews because I don’t want to get boxed in. I’m just gonna tell you what I like about it if it’s cool for the average person if somebody’s a specialist and wants the car taken apart, I probably will not be the video for them. I’m for the average person who just wants to spend a few bucks to the hobby and have fun. They don’t care about the schematics carried over from etc. And I’ve only been in the hobby a little over two months and bought 55 cars so I know a little bit about cars lol but nowhere near like you but I’m learning.

You did an awesome video. I really love this car Chevelle setup.. I àm more into flying helicopters but I like to keep it on the ground once in a while so this would be perfect for me. I love how Losi pays close attention to detail with all the tiny things on thé Chevelle like the light buckets with actual LEDS, racing stripes, chrome trim around the door and windows and other parts to the car. The side balancers gives an added measure of security. The wheelie bar is a nice touch as well.

So fire away your suggestions for fun 2-3s 12-16th scale 4wd bashers that does at least 30mph and is on a budget. You never know what you are missing out on that someone else knows about.

he usually doesn't say the dimensions on things, only describes the shapes and colors, but to me this 1/16 scale car looks the same size as a 1/10 scale touring car
@senorpinchegringo7623 Жыл бұрын
@@harlyquin He doesn't give dimensions because his handlers, in this case the Losi Product Manager don't provide him with those kinds of details and he does not have the ability to look into that or anything else on his own, he just reads the script given to him by whatever corporation he is shilling for. Just another youtuber shilling products for corporations with no regard for the end user. Everything he reviews is great and you'll love it, but in reality a lot of it is garbage. The Chevelle is actually a 1/12 scale and it shares very little with the B & T. Stop trusting youtubers, all of the product they review is free and if they give a bad review the flow of free product ends. KZbinr reviews should come with a disclaimer that what your watching is actually a paid advertisement.

@senorpinchegringo7623 Жыл бұрын
$229.99 and if it's anything like the rest of Losi's Mini lineup you will need to purchase 2mm shims and o-rings to get rid of the slop all of their mini's have. Losi would rather cut corners than manufacture a worthy product.
@senorpinchegringo7623 Жыл бұрын
The Chevelle does not share a lot of parts with the B & T. Did you take a look at an exploded view or compare a parts list between the Chevelle & B/T? They share very little. You state that it uses the T front tower and B rear tower, but this does not appear to be correct, completely different part numbers. You mentioned the updated servo saver and that it was an improvement, but how about the rest of the car? Do the ball cups, a-arms, spindles, and hubs have better tolerances than the other Losi Mini's? That would be really nice to know before dropping $200+ on something that may need a bit of work and at $230 it shouldn't need to be disassembled to correct what Losi has yet to correct on the B, T, and JRX2. Every Losi Mini to date has been a slop fest out of the box and they need to be shimmed. The slop the Mini's have make them inconsistent and harder to drive and a car with tighter tolerances tracks better which is crucial with a drag car. Is the quality of the plastic better or do the towers and arms feel like they're made out of rubber like the other Losi Mini's. It would also have been nice if someone would be honest about the scale of the car and stop referring to it as 1/16th scale, it's a 1/12 scale, a 70 Chevelle has a wheelbase of 112 inches. I realize you KZbinrs get free product and don't want to stop the flow of free product, but how about an honest and thorough review for once.
@rcdriver Жыл бұрын
I spoke directly with the Losi Product Manager about this car and asked directly what parts were new and carried over. I relayed the information I was given in the video. What many experienced enthusiasts fail to realize is that every RC car is not made for them. Experienced RC hobbyists are the minority in the pyramid of RC sales. Ready to run RC cars are made for mass sales for the general buyer. If you decide to take it and race it on a higher level you as a hobbyist should know what’s involved to make it happen and know that starting with an RTR it will not be a high-end base. I review cars for the intended buy and for them its a suitable car that absolutely will deliver enjoyment. As for scale, it has always been a loosely based system, when it comes down to it since this is a stand alone car with no other competitors, it is what it is. This argument of “you get free cars” is so lame at this point. If you took the time to research who I was you’d learn that I’ve been professionally reviewing RC cars continuously longer than anyone else on the planet, nearly 30 years. I don’t have to say nice things to get anything at this point. Products are sent simply because I’ve professionally served the community for so long. Every review I post is honest, if it doesn’t meet your agenda, thats on you. As an experienced hobbyist you should know to take information from a feature video that suits your specific needs and move on.
@senorpinchegringo7623 Жыл бұрын
@@rcdriver I know exactly who you are, I've been in and out of the Hobby for nearly 30 years. You admit that you did not do your own research and took Losi's word for it and of course they are going to hype their product and tell you what they want you to say, but it's your responsibility to do your own research so that you can properly inform the RC community, which as you admit you did not do. So I'm asking you now to take some time and look at the parts list and exploded view, so that you can see that Losi misled you. Your counter argument as to why you didn't mention the actual scale is pretty weak as well, especially since you've been in the hobby as long as you have, you know full well that there are people like me who care about scale and that there are hobbyists out there that care a great deal about scale. The argument of free cars is far from weak, would you spend your hard earned money to purchase cars to review? Would you spend $230 to purchase the Chevelle? You are doing a disservice to the community by not being completely honest with your review, you also failed to address my comments on Losi using substandard materials and manufacturing parts with horrible tolerances, which leads me to believe that the Chevelle is sloppy as can be. My only agenda is truth in advertising and wanting to see KZbinrs do an honest review for once, but like I said, none of you will do that, because you don't want to say anything bad that will upset the manufacturer which will cause the free product from flowing in. I suspect that if you had to pay for the product you review, your reviews would be much different. It's becoming harder and harder to trust KZbin reviews because they are disingenuous. When magazines were still in print they actually mentioned the deficiency of the product they reviewed, which is something that KZbinrs do not do. Show me a bad review of a product from one of you. I'm sure your a good guy and mean well, but do us a favor and start doing your own research, stop taking the manufacturers word for it, and dive deeper into the car, that is the only way you are going to change the minds of people like me, but from your reply I'm sure you could care less, because your getting paid and free product.
