Mini owners club meeting at the Bubble Car Museum in Lincolnshire a great day out for all the family

We take our 2005 Mini Cooper S Cabriolet (R52) and our 2022 Mini Cooper SE electric EV to the South Lincolnshire Mini Owners Club meeting at the Bubble Car Museum near Boston. A fantastic and cheap day out. If your a Mini owner and you want to meet other owners see their Minis and show yours join the club.

Fantastic video. It was a really great day out and lovely sun, albeit quite windy. It was Paul Brett from Cambs Mini Club who organised this event. I think he found an excellent location for a few hours on a Sunday. We are mindful not to go anywhere with high admission charges with petrol prices currently being so very high. One thing which I didn't know in advance with CMC booking this location, was there was also a display of cars and motorcycles upstairs. SLMOC always check ahead that places are accessible to wheelchair users and so I was disappointed (especially as motorcycles were upstairs). Thankfully my daughter is able bodied and she took photographs of everything which I had missed out on. I would have thought that with all the land the Bubble car museum has (they even have a campsite) that they could have all their museum on one level. However that would be expensive to do and would likely increase the entrance fee. There was a tea room upon entering the museum but I didn't personally try it so can't give a view on it. Out of all your videos Roger, I have to say this is the best 😊👍🏼

That's a coincidence, Roger... At 6:04 in to the video, when the footage is of the display shelves full of Citroen 2CV models, I had in my head to write and say "You might want to check out Jonny Smith's The Late Brake Show video of the Citroen 2CEV" and then, a few minutes later in, there's his yellow Flux Capacitor drag EV project car...! That looked a fascinating place to visit, Roger - thank you very much for sharing this will us... 👍

So many historical cars, but I was drawn to the wheels on the Cabriolet. A well put together Mini. Are the wheels factory original?

Hi thanks for following are you subscribed? The wheels on the Cabriolet are not standard, the standard are 17x7” 40 profile. These are Lenso wheels, 16x7.5” with 5mm spaces and 60 profile. A tight fit but rides much more comfortably
