Beautiful work. Looks fabulous, hope it works as good as it looks.

Thank you, I feel like it wasn’t a complete waste of time. It was fun testing it out and running it against the stockish can muffler. It still needs some fine tuning, but believe it’s a win so far!

That's pretty good, you should do a video on cutting with it. See if the pipe helps keep the rpms up in the cut and make it pull. You did a awesome job on the pipe 👍

Thank you! I think it’s a keeper, If you look up “chains log dyno, is it telling truth” you can see the pipe installed and making cuts in large wood. Cheers!

Like the thickness of the mounting plate thickness!!! I really like the hand hammered finish and the more gentle curve on it’s surface… I think it would have been better!!! Can you weld it up and send it over for testing please, thanks much Dave.

That’s a damn good looking pipe man!!! I love it’s look!!! I usually will grab a construction pencil and make a little longer and flat lead and I’ll color in and around my edges then when you rub you transfer your lead…a little dab of axle grease and dirt works too…. I think your dome is perfect… they say 6 degrees… that dome should be directly centered on your exhaust port window so it’s shooting the sound waves back into the center of your exhaust port window…. With a couple changes I bet you would get 20 percent more power boost with the cone centered!!!

Thank you, much appreciated! I just checked out your channel, and see you’ve made some custom pipes for some saws as well, very nice work sir! Your fab and metal skills are on the next level! 👊

@@tfloutdoors327 thanks. I have an idea to combine my pipe header with an outlet similar to yours. Did you take inspiration from the Iron Horse pipe?
@tfloutdoors3277 ай бұрын
@WildWestGarage not exactly or I would have gave it a mention, the inspiration for this mini pipe came from the old nitro RC planes, and car world, back in the day. Had one for years, and messed with it a lot, modding everything that was modifiable w/o messing with the motor itself. I remember buying a pipe for it that looks similar to the one featured in this video, an Aftermarket pipe, but made from aluminum, it gave that little nitro motor quite a bit more power, and a quicker throttle response. Had to try to replicate it on a larger scale. It’s not as easy as it looks. A ton of thought and planning goes into them as you know.

Build one in the shape of a set of headers.

Lol, speaking of headers, 1.75” header tubing with a pre bend, actually seems to make a decent saw pipe if done right.

do you sell this pipe?

Unfortunately no, it just a hobby at this point.

What is your smaller pipe diameter??? They say 4.75 to 5.15 on a 1/2” pipe for a “tuned pipe”. Need a little tachometer so you can get your tune right on the button!!!
@tfloutdoors3272 жыл бұрын
I think your referring to the outlet pipe? It’s 7/8s diameter, and your right, I do need a tach for sure! That would be helpful. I’m going order one here soon!
@DaveyBlue322 жыл бұрын
Your stinger is larger than 1/2” so it would probably need to be around 10” or so

I like the idea of using aluminum for a pipe! Awesome! I bit it would work great for removing the heat out of the saw! 👍

@@tfloutdoors327 seems to pull really hard. Have to keep ear bugs hanging on the saw and its still loud, pulses through ur body
