Lovely! So happy to see this update as well. I have built an aquascape in the past, and it is still healthy over 7 years later. I think I will document my next adventure in building an aquascape. Thanks for the inspiration ❤

Lovely video, such a beautiful mini pond! 🥰 I have a similar setup in my garden, but with Medaka fish as they do not multiply as fast as the Guppies

Hello.Nice pond. I would recommend feeding your fish live foods like daphnia. Thought creating and maintaining a daphnia culture is a kind of a side-hobby, I have observed increased wellbeing of my neon tetras since I've been feeding them mostly live copepods and finely chopped fresh shrimp from supermarket for a month or so. If you think you love feeding your fish regular fish food, you'll be amazed when you'll feed them live daphnia/copepods. Also, if I had a similar pond I would try to create a "father fish style" natural food web in it by putting dead dry leaf litter on the bottom and introducing a daphnia/copepod culture, so daphnia will graze and feed off decaying leaves and fish will have a constant food source. I recommend copepods as they are smaller and can fit in baby nano fish mouth

Absolutely agree. Live food is the best. Theres actually a lot of ostracods already in the pond. Fish also snacks on mosquito larvae. Reason I feed packaged food twice or thrice a week. Fan of father fish here as well and was pleasantly surprised when he commented on one of my videos sometime back. You can find ostracod colony in this build. It was easy to film as the container is made of glass kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6WYgJuZhrdpZ9Usi=8Nu9qzNwIMpc0pvS

Hello, I watch your videos with pleasure and admiration, but I have a question, don't the fish die or get sick (white spot disease, etc.) in winter, when the weather is cold?
@dumbfishtanksАй бұрын
Depends on where you live and how cold it gets... guppies will need to be brought indoors in most climates but medaka rice fish could be kept outside year-round in many climates

Hi can you do something like this for the turtle..low budget..with the basking are
@TheUrbanNemophilist3 ай бұрын
I would not like to keep a turtle as most species are banned for pet keeping in my country. Authorities in most cases get confused between banned and approved species which creates a lot of trouble.

Super glue is very safe for the fish and plants. Anyone commenting otherwise is surely not in this hobby....yet

I'm in michigan. Can I do something like this in the house over winter
@TheUrbanNemophilist3 ай бұрын
Yes. You may need a heater
@jonisolis96453 ай бұрын
try rice fish as they can take much colder water, but the water can not freeze solid. I heater would help and a removable cover for the coldest nights.
