I noticed after taking off the first door, it's actually easier if you don't remove the four bolts that hold the door to the hinge and instead remove the two bolts that hold the hinge to the body and then you can just slide the doors up and out.

After installing the new door did you have any issues with the electrical, door lock acting up or window motor, just removed and reinstalled my doors while doing a paint job and after the install have been having some weird things with those items and am wondering there’s a way to reset the system

Hi, no I didnt have any issues. I would just make sure the wiring harness in the door doesnt have any pins that have been pushed back in the plug. Good luck

If the lock mechanism fails hold the unlock button on the fob and the windows will open

Could you tell me where to buy those clips? The same thing happened to my mini... mine is a Mini Cooper 2003 would that make a difference or those clips that you used would be the same for my car?

I removed and instaled a new side dor on my mini, did not need to remove any thing else

There is one screw in eatch joint to remove, the wire and the last bit is at 19:00

I am planing to replace my damaged door over the weekend, do I really need to take that wing off?

It was certainly easy change the door with the wing off. You will have to see if there is enough space to take off and on the electical connection to the door with the wing on. From memory there is not a lot of space. Good luck

What were the parts called that you attached to the wheel trim in order to connect the trim in the car?

I think you would call them trim clips. You can buy them at at MINI parts counter not that much, or probably buy them on Ebay, by searching for "MINI R53 Trim Clips". Hope this helps

Lew Housley I am not sure, but looking at the video it seems taking off the wing is a good idea. If you take the wheel off and then take the inner wheel arch liner off you may be able to get to the bottom of it. Thanks
