You just highlighted all of the problem i have with fmar. I used angle adjuster to solve the rear degree problem, but now facing the weak mounting point problem at the front. Waiting impatiently for your next video!

I've got one technical question, does running FMAR suffers the same propeller gear shaft issue as much as the regular AR? Since the propeller gear is turning out into the crown gear which the crown gear can probably "hold" it in place (unlike the regular setup where it turns into the chassis), would securing the crown gear in place be enough?

Balo Nimo for sure FMAR is better than FMA, if you can professionally modify it. Because FMAR has all the advantage of front motor drive chassis should have

by the way~~ because of tamiya mini 4wd official regulation, you can't not change the ratio and gear combination of the factory setting~~ and FMA only run orange G-2 crown gear for transmission~ those orange G-2 crown gear is not smooth as the Pink or carbon G-13 crown gear. this is also give a big disadvantage of FMA chassis on transmission, but AR chassis can run G-13 gear for better transmission power~ . Remember this, under regulation~ if you use G-13 Gear on FMA chassis, it gonna be a "Not Legal" modification.

Mad Tang this is my question too. What are the advantages of FMAR vs FM-A? Being able to put a better crown gear is only one advantage. Is this enough reason to make an effort to do difficult FMAR modification? I hope you can explain more advantages.

a good chassis should have following "Characteristic". No1. good Transmission system. (Compare with FM. SFM. FMS2,FMA, FMVS,FMXX, FMAR has best transmission system when AR Chassis runs reverse direction. Due to the propeller shaft is install backward, and also AR can RUN G-13 crown gear which is the most smoothest ) No2. adaptability (which can allow car to be adapted/mount all modern parts) No3. flexibility . (chassis can not be too firm, chassis need some flexible in order to absorb the "impact" when car jumps and lands. this works same as mass damper system. Think about VS chassis. it is still the fastest chassis in Tamiya MINI 4WD! and AR chassis can be modify as flexible and also has enough strength
