the place i hangout in malaysia usually play speed tech track, the track usually looks simple but hard consist of most elements from tamiya tracks look up hobby kidz on fb.

We did a track with a loop and also a jump right before a corner. The car had to have enough brakes to stay on when going over the jump before the corner, but then would be too slow to complete the loop. Nobody could figure out how to tune the car, as it seemed impossible to make a car able to complete 5 laps (5 lane track) when it came to racing, the winner was an 8 year old who just bought his first car the day before. The box stock car with no mass dampers or brakes and standard motor was the perfect set up to complete the track! The car was light enough without brakes that it kept enough speed to stay on the loop, and was slow enough that it didn't need brakes for the jump into corner.

Sound like you guys need to angle your brakes. This allows your cars to clear banks/loops (no brakes touching tires only) whilst still giving you enough brakes to slow down on slopes.

The loops were custom made so they were actually steeper than the ramps. If the brakes cleared for the loop you would enter orbit off the jumps. Pretty much if you had brakes the car just stopped on the loop. The only way to do the whole track was by having a really low top speed so you didn't need any brakes whatsoever

+Roscoe_tm10 Now that I think about it. All the cars that completed the track are Super 2. Maybe 1 of them was VS. Only 4 people completed the track.

+Z3N Bluster probably because those two are the lightest chassis that tamiya has. MA chassis is quite heavy to begin with. anyway, is Mad Tang running business there? 😄 . He's busy trimming tires while everyone is running their cars.

+Roscoe_tm10 I think it's more the fact that the motors are in the back. I don't know if you heard what I said on the video. but I shifted alot of my dampers on the back. Yeah, he was busy working on trimming tires for everyone. He trimmed me a really nice set that I'm about to post on Instagram.
