Mini Simmons Creator Joe Bauguess

The Mini Simmons is a surfboard created by Joe Bauguess in 2006. Since then many many people have copied the board and taken the name and put it to their board. The fact is they are all copies.
There is only one Joe Bauguess and one Mini Simmons, this is an interview with him.

he didn't invent it...he updated it. Bob Simmons...ya know the guy it's named after.. the real inventor made a 6' in the 1950s... no wonder Kevin/ at hydronamicia is using wegner now to make theirs. Joe arrogant douche baggous

tbf they did say it didn't work with just one fin and it was only loosely based on the memories of someone who'd once seen one... I'd say it's a new invention

well perhaps on his classic longer boards but according to the interview the shorter board only had the one fin

dunkin15151 sorry ..wrong again.....both joe and richard have called bs...that Joe is simple ....staying this to support his frivolous patent. he even says ...it's my take on it....there are many others...but he didn't start anything....heck we had guys in the 60s and 70s. shaping these in santa cruz.

@palaneproductions7357 .....Hoyes design was far from inspired by Bob Simmons. Hoye didn't use half moon or any other keel fins. He used Bahne boxes and traditional rake and foiled 6 to 7 inch fins.

Tom Hoye bought that shape with the half moon keels in the corners back in late 1970...you just put a name on a shape you copied.
