Absolutely brilliant, the install books that came with the units and the diagrams on the terminal covers of the two units, are more of a hindrance than a help, thanks mate, saved me a load of time. Done air conditioner installs before for my house, but was confronted with a "W" and a "S" terminal, with this kit, now sorted thanks again.

Finally got it up and running. The only delays we had was because we realized we needed some extra parts (I’ll list that below) kzbin.infoUgkxihMYiJNXcHdbH-7ihymsLz61l7jVyb5O . So we have a loft where our current hvac just couldn’t seem to keep cool during the summer. We have been using a window unit since we bought this house over 6 years ago (all the houses in this neighborhood were built in the 80’s and majority of the houses built like ours use a window unit). I hate window units because they are just so noisy and the one we had really only cools one side of the loft. I had contemplated upgrading our current HVAC, but with all the rising prices these days, it would take years before saving up enough to do that. With the advice of my father-in-law (used to run an HVAC business), he recommended we get an inverter instead. We thought we bought everything we needed, but there were just a few other parts we didn’t anticipate needing (which is what caused most of our delay). My friend and father-in-law did all the work to get it installed and running and now we have nice cool air circulating nicely throughout the entire loft. It is very quiet and even the outside unit is much quieter than our main HVAC unit. Saved ourselves thousands getting this.

Is it possible to feed the indoor unit first even if it does not have the L&N terminals? (So, What i would do is connect the main L&N directly to the 1L and 2N terminals of the indoor unit and the rest of the wiring will be the same as the video except that the L&N terminals of the outdoor unit will be vacant).

Yes it is possible to wire the indoor unit first, the unit works ( The way you do it still works. The L1 and N2 has a jumper wires attached with L and N. That is the reason the outdoor circuit powers on) , But always Remember that L & N are always the main power supply for the unit . The best practice is to wire the Main power on the L and N terminals. The L1, N2 and Signals or communication (S) terminals are used for the communication between the indoor and the outdoor unit.

Thanks. So, there is continuity between the respective terminals even when the power is off, right? I wish the manufacturers provided the same number terminals on the indoor unit as on the outdoor unit so that we have the options in connecting the supply to the units.

I ask you a question on how to get an actual calculation of condenser if for instance, you are a changing a fridge with a compressor of r134 of 1/5 with another of r600 of 1/6size. Do I need to add up the condenser or reduce it to get similar cooling capacity like the r134a?

Means the main electricity of your air conditioner is from the outdoor, you will probably see main L and N on the outdoor connected with your electric socket, and the other three would be L N S which will be connected to indoor.

I made the following connections On the outdoor unit I have W 1L 2N S L N The L N from outdoor unit goes to main socket. The 1L 2N S from the outdoor unit are connected to L N S of the indoor unit. Unfortunately appears a connection error between units (E1). The indoor units works but the compressor from the outdoor unit won't start!!. Thank you for helping me!
