Mini tour of Yau Ma Tei and Wet Market | Old Hong Kong

Continuing on from the last video of the Tin Hau Temple complex, I walk down to the Yau Ma Tei wet market, showing the old buildings and construction works. Yau Ma Tei is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in HK, and there are a lot of old buildings such as the 'tong lau' which are the 4-6 storey residential buildings from the 60s. There are a lot of urban renewal projects taking place in YMT hence all the construction, which feels like its neverending - I've been in and out of this neighbourhood for 8 years. Then I do a walk through of the wet market.
