I have never really understood the draw of mini truck lowrider, but after watching I understand now. The attention to detail and trying to make it low but still look like it all belongs is really cool. major respect for all the work that goes into this! I came for more 4x4 stuff and now I'm watching mini trucks! pretty cool, thanks for sharing!

I have a 95 short obs airbagged retired show truck and a lifted xj, a 64 econoline mid engine altered wheel base gasser, a 2000 blk 2 door zr2 4x4 blazer, and a 87 red 454 long bed low mi. Trailer hauler.. all trucks are awesome great content....

Mark on the tops of the wheel wells where the bed rails sit with a Sharpie. Push the bedsides outward 1" per side just at the wheel openings. Use the Sharpie mark on the wheel wells as your reference point.

Love the variety! Long form, short, 4x4, motorcycles, mini trucks, all good and interesting to learn about. One thing I’d be interested in is how you make decisions about doing a 4x4 build. Like one tons ok, but WHICH one tons and why. Same with transfer cases and springs and link design, etc. Thanks for sharing your expertise and enthusiasm and even hiccups too!!

I use diamond masonry wheels in my grinder to cut cast iron tubs in half when I demo bathrooms. They work great for cutting sheet metal, are way safer to use and you don't have to replace them every 5 seconds.

Way back when, 2003-05, I had an 91 Isuzu and my wife, girlfriend then had a Nissan hard body and we used to cruise together. Both were lowered, the Isuzu was lowest static truck in town. Those were the days. Wish I could share a photo with you. Always wanted to do a body drop. Never got around to it. Awesome build man!

Minitrucks?? HELL YEAH. I love this thing, that 90s UV white with the teal graphics gets me every time. Those litle KA24s can take a HELL of a lot of boost, You should check into that. There are 16v heads too you can pop on em. Could be a hell of a lot of fun making choochoo noises

Its been a long time since I did body work, but a glass suction cup handles were a go to for holding panels when welding or trying to adjust panel alignment when bolting together.

Dude that’s rad! I collected Truckin and Mini Truckin mags in the 90’s. Then watched some dudes do this in street rod class at WyoTech. First class through the new shop out there. And one of the only classes where we could work on our own projects.

We did a body drop on my 17 mile, 1992 Isuzu pickup the day after I got it new. I was part of the original Mini Madness low rider club in the Tampa area.

@@thedirtheadshed it was, I put 195,000 miles on that truck. I sold it 15 years ago and the young man I sold it to is still driving it today. It also had suicide doors with shaved handles and the hood had the hinges on the front so it opened like a corvette hood

I ran into the same problem with my Nissan. Instead of narrowing it I used a rear axle out of a 82’ Mazda and it fit perfect.

I love this body style nissans I've owned 4 4wd models ,my boss still has his 94 he bought new in Cali that he drove here to wv back in 95. One of my all time favorite truck . There is a California company called alpha ev that makes a pickup that has a similar style called the alpha "wolf" check it out its the raddest ev I've seen

Grab a rear housing and axles out of a 2wd Nissan 720. If I remember correctly they're 3-1/2-4 inches narrower, and you can use your original 3rd member. I did it years ago with my ex cab 96 hardbody Because of the high offset kmc 20's.

Have you thought about just pushing the bedsides out like some of the ore-runner guys do ? They would probably move 3/4 to an inch out easy. You end up with a slight wide body look.
