Mini twists are so cute, but for a person who does cardio everyday, my roots were not having it 😂 mini braids take so much longer to do, but I feel that they are so much more worth it !!! Loved the video

i use rubber bands to secure the tops (like a microlink) make sure its not too tight or loose. it maintains the new growth and makes the roots look neat

Thats why I went more towards mini/ small braids. I went with a size I knew would work best for me and my hair. So if you do try them dont make them mini mini and see how you like them! 💜💜💜

Imma try medium braids (no way I go mini lol). I know they will take much more time than twists but girl I'm so disappointed in twists 😭😭😭. I wanted to get 3 full weeks of rest and only 5 days after I put them in they look like I have been wearing them for 2 weeks. Twists have been to me like buying something cheap that is not going to last longer than if I invested a little bit more money in quality stuff 😓🤣🥰

I love my twist but I dont do minis. 😎 I leave a couple twist in for about a month. 😍 braids make my hair knot up and more shedding. 🖤 Have a Blessed Week🙇🏼‍♀️

Twists are definitely easier! When my hair was longer I would do medium size

Very informative video. I am in my natural hair journey, I currently do mini twist locs . To make them last longer I secure the tops with a rubber band to manage the new growth. I don;t make it too tight or loose and I am able to cleanse my scalp after getting sweaty. What you said about the curly hair locc'ing back up into the twist is correct. I find that if you have thicker 4c type hair this style is most optimal as they keep the hair from getting frizzy if you have a finer type hair.

Shine n jam or braid the roots not even a half inch down then twist is what I do to my daughter’s hair

I try a different method I call "temporary twist locs" where you section off your hair and secure the tops with rubber bands, make sure they are not too tight and not too loose. This allows you to sweat and also use a spray bottle to use any cleansing spray on your scalp. ik this is a long time ago hopefully you are still trying to do this 😂

New subbie here. Is that all of your real hair? Your hair is gorgeous. I personally wear single plaits but under my wigs. They do take a long time to install and to remove. Lol. However, I love that I can wash, condition and deep condition with them in. I don't wear twists as I tried once but they unraveled. Lol
