Another non disclosure by MINI USA that this feature is only part of power folding mirrors option. It's not part of standard outside mirror. No mention of that in this video or on MINI USA site or in the configurator. I'm finding other features that I thought were standard require options to be chosen, such as voice activation is only with enhanced blue tooth even though that is not stated anywhere on MINI USA site or in the description of enhanced blue tooth. Also, web radio is not available in MINI Connected unless you have an iphone. It's not part of the app for Android users. Lots of non disclosures and non specific info from MINI USA. While I like my new F56, I have an issue with MINI not being clear about certain features and when they are standard or part of an option pkg.

Totally agree. I have so many things missing snd i had no problem getting them but the process was very unclear and if anything suggests these features were standard.

Is this only with the electric folding mirrors option?

I had a 2016 mini 4 door and now have a 2018 mini 2 door and both cars don't have this option. kind of disappointing

It worked when we got our Mini but now it doesn't. I've tried the various suggestions here without success.

Maybe it's too late, but in case you are still interested, you can disable it by leaving the mirror selection toggle to the right/passenger one (see last part of this video).

That is the worst or maybe the second worst option on the mini Cooper just leave it where it is so I can see straight back yeah who cares about seeing the curb I'm going to run into the back of a car that's a stupidest thing ever All you have to do is adjust the mirror to the right when you're backing up and it won't move stupid thing or worse than the on-off option that idle goes off when you're stopped at a red light so ridiculous and so dangerous
