Exactly the comparison video I was looking for. Thank you!

Amazing pedals Brett! Great to hear the A/B demo comparison too! Both sound super tasty!

I'm one of those guitar guys who's obsessed with the Leslie for guitar, the organ version has more of that under water warble than the guitar version, also has a little more high end, it sounds to me more like what I am wanting to hear for a guitar/Leslie combination. For benchmark sounds I use the Blind Faith album, Mountain's Nantucket Sleighride, The Romantics Out Of My Mind (Into My Head), ZZ Top's first two albums. I'll probably go with the Organ version, great demo and comparison, thanks.

Very good demo. Well done! The organ version (for guitar, and pedal steel) is on my wish list.

Always loved the Leslie effect, as used by George Harrison & Eric Clapton around the 'Badge' WMGGW era-the effect from high speed to low is a very satisfying transition, something about the contrast - anyway great demo Brett, I'd like one thanks!

I watched this more for the Jag! haha, I like this guitar. I think the pickup selector is an incredibly good idea.

Really good demo! The one on the right sounds the best to me. I think the Mini Vent is the best sounding of all of the Ventilators. It just sounds more real.

01:02. This is not the general Mini Vent. Only for guitar (Right) and the one for the organ(left). the Mini Vent II (That would be the general one) for keys and guitar came later.

Nice demo, the only thing missing is the smell of Leslie oil and wood and moving air. Hands down the best Leslie sim.

Nice. But where is the promised demo of the custom shop 50 class A mode demo?

Hey great video as usual. I just have a question how would you rate the Rotary on the Keeley Monterey compared to this?

What is the difference between the mini vent and the mini vent ii?

Are the only tweaking options on the pedals the presets 1 and 2 and their variations? Not that it matters, they sound gorgeus with any setting I'm sure.

That's a good question and one which I hope I haven't misled an assumed answer for. There are around 8-10 variable presets assignable to each - A & B positions. Depending on the model, these can differ in mic distance, drive and on/off 122 emulation. Best to download the manuals from Neo's site to check thoroughly.

FWIW and it ain't worth much... through both laptop speakers (which sound pretty good actually) and iPhone/earbuds... the "organ version" just sounds a little more nasal to me- the "regular" sounds slightly scooped by comparison. I kind of feel like the noise of a bar gig or similar would obliterate anything that subtle and either one would sound 'good enough' - but that's the problem with not hearing them through a real amp. The 'organ' version driving the output harder might be a deciding factor for many guitarists. I love rotary ems - to me every model on the market currently sounds great compared to, say, trying to fake it with a chorus pedal ;-)

Super old video, but the organ version sounds way better to me for what I’d want from a Leslie cabinet. That classic 60s-70s sound the Beatles, stones and Hendrix copped. The guitar version sounded like the pumpkin’s early stuff and black hole sun.

Hello Brett,I happen to have a Strymon and after hearing this pedal, they both seem to make the notes sound out of tune to me on fast speed...Is this something you've noticed,or is it just me?
@BrettKingman9 жыл бұрын
Sure. I've got a Strymon Mobius which has a decent Leslie sim in it too. I'm guessing the 'out of tune' issue is due to the virtual doppler effect - an integral part of the rotating speaker effect. Others may have a more scientific explanation and I'd invite them to chip in here as well.

I was surprised to hear that when I hooked it up.Hearing the transition from fast to slow is a great effect, but I can't use the fast speed because it's so out of tune, but the video did make me unbox it and try to fix the issue. Thanks again for the videos!!

This is the science of the dopler effect. It is perfectly normal is the sound travels from close till far. You can hear same effect with pa speakers on a car passing by.
