I wish it weren’t Eevee’s. The ONLY reason this set was seeing fistfights was because they put The Creature (umbreon) in it. As someone fortunate enough to get A etb, it’s nice to get good utility cards reprinted for cheaper!!! Budew is a hilarious nuke, Regi is great, everything else the got reprints is epic…but the stupid dogs are the reason this set is 1 Eeveeillon dollars. That sucks big time

I was able to get an ETB on release day since a local shop was doing it at the normal ETB price with 1 per person. The hits weren't good but I got 2 Regigigas and 2 Budew (one being a reverse holo) and was just like "Welp that's me done for the set."

@@rekttangela2262I was fortunate enough to get a handful of Budews and Regi’s- (even a master ball Budew, a most prized possession)- but it feel so gross to see a set that could’ve been a great option for players and collectors end up being so horribly overpriced because There’s An Umbreon SIR.

Prime catcher was helped a lot by a 30 dollar msrp battle deck that had it and 2 pidgeot ex. It took catcher down to about 12-15 dollars before Prismatic released. Prismatic only really put the big nail in the coffin.

I am so damn glad there is so many more people interested in playing the game now. It makes the scalpers and "hype" buyers look even more moronic. I've already had a conversation with a guy who asked if the store I worked at sold pokemon cards, I told them we could carry prismatic eventually but not currently. They kept saying "EBTs" and "Primpratic" They came back a week later saying they bought out an entire stock of it, adamant the prices on it "wOulD oNLy gO uP" I carefully and kindly tried to compare it to shining fates which was also a follow up to an older set that got showered with praise but a little while after its release was common asf for like 3 years, hell you can probably still find some now. Yet they didn't want any of it, and said they'd sit on it and wait.

I remember paying 4 bucks for earthen vessel hoo boy that was rough. That aside i like the eeveelutions and i like collecting as well as playing and i lowkey hope they print this set to the ground

as someone who is not immune to Eeveelutions, I did participate in the hype a little and got my one ETB on release day from my local store. there were some super cool non-Eevee fancy arts I wanted (Raging Bolt, Bloodmoon Ursaluna, Iron Valiant) and the super fast Jolteon is adorable, but there’s nothing in this set worth fighting someone over or paying $120+ for an ETB, like I saw people doing

Vaporeon having a spread attack to exs is so useless because every other Pokémon ex released recently are all Tera with bench protection, Raging Bolt with Ogrepon isn’t going anywhere along with Dragapult and Zard,

I opened like 9 prismatic evolution packs and got 2 masterballs, 2 pokeball holo, and an alt art Eri. Out of all the people in the card shop for the midnight prerelease and the other time I bought I saw maybe like 3 exs total. It may be a conspiracy but I think they made the pull rates lower so people buy more

I bought a prismatic evo etb, retail price, and am happy at that. Got a couple decent things i like (cornerstone ogerpon ex, 3 pokeball cards, masterball suicune and a full art supporter) but i have no interest in going further. I have however bought tons of ass cheap cards i want for deck building (prime catcher, max rod, teal mask ogerpon ex, more cornerstone and vessels/poffins) so im happy

Just gonna go out there and guess that Fezandipiti ex will be in the Spring 2025 League Battle Deck, the 2025 Trainer Toolkit, or both potentially. I know it’s a long ass time to wait for this card to be reprinted but I don’t think they can justify making a $20 or $30 ex box for it, so I think it’ll be a selling point of one of those two products this year.

As someone who was out of the game for a bit and didn’t get back in until Stellar Crown was a thing, I am glad for all the reprints. It’s making getting some cards more realistic. It’s nice that some cards are cheaper on the secondary market, but I also wish that I could get a few boosters for the fun, but like you said, it is not worth clubbing people over the head for it.

Yeah as a player who doesn't care about eeveelutions, it's basically just budew and cool reprints. It's fine. Budew is kinda unfun but the reprints are great so it kinda evens out I guess.

I'm a casual collector of pokemon cards and two of my brothers are really into pokemon cards rn. One of their birthdays is coming up and I'm annoyed I won't be able to pick up any prismatic evolutions for him because its all sold out where I live. I think the set is great by the metric of people want to buy it, but I think its a massive L on the part of the pokemon company for not producing more. Its lierally free money for them.

I don't really care much for this set as I already have a lot of the cards that were reprinted from the homophobic three and evil mochi demon special set and don't really have much interest in the other cards except the masterball cards, those ones are cool

Gotta say, it's quite refreshing to see a pokemon fan who isn't a fan of the eevee line! Like good lord, eeveelutions are overrepresented as hell, it's extremely annoying when you don't actually like them that much. Also, another thing to mention, though its kinda niche. On TCG Live, bc the set released, there's a new battle pass. The rewards being mostly Eeveelutions ex is kinda meh, but annoying (also its kinda hilarious one of the rewards is the Regidrago Vstar deck with all the fancy cards, considering Regidrago Vstar is gonna leave the regular format bc of the set rotation on April). However, half the daily missions require you to literally play the eeveelutions ex. Some can be worked around, like doing 280 damage in 1 attack (golly gee what a coincidence that vaporeon, flareon and jolteon all have a 280-damage attack!) or attaching a fire, water and lightning energy to your mons. But one of those missions is literally "play vaporeon ex, jolteon ex and flareon ex", another is "play umbreon ex and espeon ex" and there are 2 others that want you to require to literally play specific cards. Like bro, I'm just trying to enjoy playing my chien pao deck before it gets rotated out. But yeah, long story short, I'm kinda peeved at Nintendo shoving the eevee line in our face as often as it does, it's annoying, when there are so many overlooked mons that don't get a fourth of the attention that line gets. (Mothim fan here, this pokemon got a holo rare card in 2009, and never got anything above that rarity, he's not even included in the new TCG pocket expansion when it's literally about gen 4!) Like, I get it, those are mascots, they make the packs sell (fuckton of scalpers fro prismatic evolutions, as you've said yourself), i understand the reasoning. But it's still annoying Also the alt arts from the v, vstar, vmax eeveelutions are better than the ex, but that doesn't matter much.
