Nicely put together. I have a couple of questions: 1. Can the camera (with adequate batter pack) be setup in a remote location, using the Android App, and then be left unattended in motion sensing mode, to record to the micro SD card? Setup to include using App get camera angle right and any last parameter settings. On return, say next day, reconnect App and review footage. A Trail Cam type usage. 2. Did you measure or determine the typical power consumption (Watts/hour) ? Thanks

1) Once the camera is turned on and programmed to work in surveillance mode, it will record movement no matter where the camera is located. You can then view the recordings, reprogram the camera or view the camera's live images from anywhere in the world. 2) I can't tell you how much the camera uses because I haven't done any tests. If you want to use the monitoring over a longer period of time, for example when you go on vacation, I suggest you connect it to a fixed power source as even the strongest power banks will run out of power at some point.

Thanks. Just to be clear, in the trail cam scenario in a remote location, the surveillance camera will have no mobile or internet connection owing to remote location. Only connecting to Android phone on my return to the location. I was concerned it may not perform it's role without a connection being present. If it continues to perform surveillance when that connection is lost then it will work for me. Please confirm

@@ibslpaul Well, if you are not connected to your local network, you would not be able to access your camera's data or settings. However, if you have programmed your camera for surveillance and it is turned on, it will record motion detections to the SD card for as long as the card and power allow. No need to be connected to the Internet at this time. Movement photos, however, can only be viewed if you connect your camera to the app.

@@ibslpaul I have to apologize. It didn't leave me in peace and I did another detailed test of the camera away from home. It seems that the camera has to be connected to the app otherwise the functions set do not work. The movement recordings of the battery-operated camera and the non-battery-operated camera work, of course.

@@Meisech Thank you for further replies. However, I am still confused. I wish to go to a remote location. Connect phone to camera over wifi. Set camera in a fixed position where wild animals will pass. Using phone configure camera to motion sensing. Disconnect phone from camera wifi. Leave remote location. Go home. Return next day. Connect phone using wifi. Review motion sensed files. No home network involved at any time. Can this be achieved? Thx
