NEVER ruse thread locker on plastic as it will destroy the plastic. if anything use a SMALL drop of thick CA glue in the screw hole. it works great.

Thank you for the tip but I learned this the hard way :( that’s why I’m rebuilding my 020 chassis I suspect

I find it easier to disassemble the back plate because it doesn’t allow much wheel moving
@BlitzWorks5 жыл бұрын
Quick note to others: fridge magnets are a great way to sort screw types and prevent them rolling away. That paper towel is also really helpful especially when working on glass or dark surfaces making the screws hard to see

Actually running 0 degree tie rods, was trying to increase the steering angle over default (wheels touch frame) requires the mod you did as well as filing the inside where the channel where the servo sits as the tie rod will impact on the inside of that channel.
@BMR35 жыл бұрын
Blitz Works shoot I dident even thing to check the channel where the tie rod sits to see if that was getting impacted. Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to double check this area when I tear down the front end to install my new camber knuckles. I really need to do a full disassembly of the car, so I can better understand how it functions, but I’m afraid I may mess this car up in the process. I need to start looking for a used/boneyard ma-020 so I won’t worry about breaking in disassembly/reassembly.

hey, love the vids, idk if you still read these or not but when I replaced my tie rod on my ma020 im getting "chatter" when i try to steer and idk what i need to do about that, im gonna re check my tie rod
@BMR34 жыл бұрын
I see everything, I’m in the matrix 😹 But seriously, is the chatter coming from the tires, servo or tie rod? I’ve never had that issue before but I would check to make sure everything is screwed down properly first then go from there. It could be a lose Diff plate on the bottom.

Thank you for the support btw! I was racing to type the last comment as quick as possible & forgot the niceties 😺

@@BMR3 hhaha thanks for the super fast reply, you make the best vids on this type of stuff. i just changed the stock tie rod to a N-1 rod and when i steer and it goes back to neutral there is servo chatter (i think), i messed with the trims and nothing is quite fixing it. Im gonna recheck my install rn
@BMR34 жыл бұрын
@@ipoyt8708 Hmm chatter at neutral is not good, could something have gotten that area? Even small debris can cause a huge issue, these tiny cars are incredibly sensitive. From what your saying it almost sounds like something is obstructing the servo movement
@ipoyt87084 жыл бұрын
@@BMR3 i took out the tie rod and the sound went away, it seems my car does not like the N-1 tie rod, without the rod in the servo moves fine and no chatter. Heres a quick vid i just took that shows the problem. I might just put my old tie rod back in D: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYCaYaebhp2Al6c

the tire rod shows N+1 . Does it mean that it is 1 degree toe out or toe in? thanks
@BMR32 жыл бұрын
No it’s a N-1 for toe out, n+1 would be toe in. For AWD you want toe out
@Quetzasp3 жыл бұрын
My tie rod keeps"popping out" from the servo. Not sure whether this is a problem with the servo or tie rod. Have you ever experienced that?
@BMR33 жыл бұрын
I have never heard of this happening. I would check the servo arm for wear & also check the tire rod to see if there is any noticeable wear. One of these might need to be replaced

hey man, a shop near me has a big sale and he got PN racing tie rods, which one would you recommend for drifting? Anyway, great video, thanks!
@BMR34 жыл бұрын
-1 up front will give you a tiny bit more steering angle & initial turn in. Don't go above 0 degrees.
@BMR34 жыл бұрын
Does the shop have a -1 silver? Im in need of a tie bar & would love to buy in the USA, currently looking at European distributors since its sold out here.

I got this one off EBay since they were the only ones that had it in stock at the time. But it looks like a lot of distributors have restocked on the AWD lately so they can be found all over. Thank you for the support man!

If you need tiny files for this and other mods you can get them super cheap at harbor freight. Like, under 10 bucks for a full set.

Oh man no way? The guy at HT knows just enough about RC to be dangerous.... I’m sorry to hear that, if I was you I would talk to the manager & demand a refund for store credit if you purchased the kit based on their recommendation. Then you can at least get a AWD without wasting so much cash Normally I would say you should support your local hobby shops, but not when they give advice like this 😾. Hopefully they are willing to work with you to make this right...
