Not gonna lie, kinda want the engine to go so I have an excuse to put something else in. Another 30hp would do the car a lot of justice. Amazing what a splash of color can do for an old car, I even look back at it after I park it. Luckily I'm the 3rd owner but the previous owner changed the headlights and I have some weird issues because of the jdm lights. Cruise doesn't work and I think it's because he stole some wiring for them to work, and my high beams are always on so I feel like a big a-hole at night.

Technological improvements like sound deadening and suspension make an older car feel like it is absolutely going to fall apart on the highway compared to a newer car. There is no mechanical reason that the car should not be able to keep up with an 80 mph traffic flow. When you drive it 80 mph. It feels like you are going 120 mph because of sound within the cabin and vibration. These are fixable issues. You can put your foot into it.

I picked up a 92 Integra RS 5spd that's pretty clean with some rust in similar spots, same color, same color wheels. It was LS/VTEC converted with some other add ons. Exhaust on it is a little janky but I plan on fixing or replacing it. My gripe is the dashboard rattle on it. It's really there until higher RPMs and it only has 137k miles. It's an interesting car and I like it.
@Altek14 жыл бұрын
If it's mechanically sound, you have a good base to start with there. Is that a gsr motor then? All my car needs is another 10-15hp and it sounds like you got that. I had a similar exhaust issue, besides it being embarrassing, it would hit all over the bottom of the car. Sending some wild sounds through cabin, I couldn't take it. I also have a crazy rattle on my dash at idle but I thought my idle was off a hundred or so rpms. The second I'm on the throttle, it stops. If you get solid suspension, you'll love it, but maybe not above 60mph.

I know but it's the mileage that gets me. I'm nearing 200k and even though the motor doesn't skip a beat, I just can't beat on it like I want to. Thanks for checking out my channel bud.

does this have good cargo room if its just you in the car? seems like it would

The hatch does give it a surprising amount of room to move things. I was able to fit 4 wheels and a jack in the back which I didn't think was possible.

Loved the video pal, another great one with a car I always loved! Looking forward to the end of COVID so we can get to filming part 2 with the other Viper, and maybe even get you into one of my videos. Think all ALTEK fans would love seeing you get your butt kicked in the gym after a proper drive in the Viper. 🏎💨🏋🏻♂️👍

Put hi-temp grease on the pivot ball for the clutch pedal, it'll sound like a 2020 civic si clutch but feel like a real pedal lll

Good good video and good review, although it would have been appreciated to see at least one 0 to redline acceleration. Also if you plan to drive your car daily just grease the clutch pedal hinge.

Oh man, I hate when that happens. Sadly I do not. I've actually avoided doing any engine work on that car short of oil changes and spark plugs because it's just so damn tight in there. Best of luck finding it out bud!

Damn you even got the armrest! My DA and most others don't have any :'(, also if you really do daily it that often, I'd suggest heading over to NaytonTech, they have a cupholder that replaces the compartment under the radio, and it works perfectly for me.
@Altek14 жыл бұрын
Ha, the previous owner put that in and i didn't know how useful it was until i took it out to fix the ebrake (which i then realized i didn't need to do that to get to it). One 10 minute drive and i pulled over to throw it back in. It's amazing how much it makes the drive comfortable. Thanks for the cup holder suggestion. I've purposely avoided that one because i figured it would just cover the screen of my head unit. I know it blocks the buttons on my fathers 95 Integra, and it's surprisingly annoying. Just did the front brakes and calipers also, besides some rotor noise i have to address, this baby is running like a champ! Thanks for watching!
