I'm 54 and watched the series in early 80's, couldn't agree more the world now is too fast paced and nature forgotten apart from few of us, who are considered oldies. The song is very emotional, not good for the heart as can be very upsetting with what's happening now in the world.

I am 74 years old, and i still cry, not only when listening to this song, but whenever I watch an episode of Grizzly Adams. I am an animal lover, and when I see the connection between "man and beast", i get very emotional. It might seem crazy, but I've told my kids so many times that i wish i lived in the 1800s. Yes, i have a car and a phone and a stove and other convenient stuff of today, but I'd trade it all if i could go back in time to those days. I used to tell my grandparents that i envied the days when they were young (1800s), even with all the hardships people had suffered. Thanks for letting sharing this beautiful song, and, yes, i cried.

I always see me as a child sitting there and watch this man in the rockys with his bear. This song still hits my soul like so many years before. Amazing...
