7:26 Fellow Operation Genesis player, reporting in. Great build! I am always captivated by your attention and commitment to detail, all the way down to painting on the hard to reach interior of a cottage cheese container.

Woa, love how that all came together. Nice job with the lava. I feel like you had the better idea making it underlit, that way you can add stronger or weaker lights and experiment rather than being stuck with what's in the resin. Thanks for the shoutout.
@MechanicalFiend2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I think the super bright under light definitely lends itself more to a cartoony sort of lava like this, but yours felt a lot more realistic- it matched the project super well! Was so excited to see your video while I was working on something similar, such a wonderful project~

Also, I see you are a fellow Boggy Swamp enjoyer. Exquisite taste

Totally, I always walk away from projects with more and more appreciation for the designs of whatever piece I'm doing and this was definitely no exception! This is really specific, but with this one particularly the bottom of the hut and how the walkway and everything connects is more detailed than I noticed before. Oh totally, honestly there are so many different super cool projects that could be done from all of the Jak games- hopefully I can return to it sometime in the future! Glad somebody else is a fan of boggy swamp, it's got such a great atmosphere haha, so good!

Oh I totally recommend it, the first game (it's a series) is such a fun play- it's not too difficult, but it has a bunch of fun game mechanics and is overall just really well done. Thank you so much! I really don't know why I keep making the interiors, you never end up seeing them... although that's why I made the roof removable on this one haha. Sometimes I think even when I try to make things kinda spooky or sinister, they often end up being kind of wholesome for some reason? At this point, I'll just embrace that!
@MignonOficina2 жыл бұрын
@@MechanicalFiend I like the fact that the videos are always wholesome even though you meant for them to be scary because I scare super easily and I'm SO not able to watch anything horror or slightly frightening, so them being the way they are is perfect. 😅 I'd watch your videos anyway, of course, but if you manage to make them really scary someday I might not be able to sleep for a couple days hahaha which is fine, please do your thing lol

@@MechanicalFiend I imagine it must be kind of zen creating such a tiny masterpiece. The microscopic bridge and rope details blew me away 🤯

I LITERALLY WAIT FOR THEEEEEESE, unfortunately I've been on rotation for the past week so :( But yay I get to watch it now!!! I feel like her and Studson Studio could both do a movie together for Tim Burton and it would be his greatest masterpiece.
@MechanicalFiend2 жыл бұрын
Ahhhh well in that case apologies for the constant long waits, I seem to be getting more and more busy with work outside of youtube... ahh I wish I could put things out quicker! Seems like you have been busy too, hope you are doing well! I would totally be down to do sets for a Tim Burton film in a heartbeat! Imagining just me and Studson trying to make every set for an entire movie... I think we would be working on that for 10 years lol, gotta recruit all the other amazingly talented miniaturists for sure~

Ahhh that is so kind of you to say, thank you so much! I don't know how true that is, but I will say that the only way I can build projects is when I plan a lot. When I just start building... it is absolute chaos lol

@@MechanicalFiend no problem, I love the jak and daxter games. Maybe one of Samos's but would look cool. You should check out the game Kena Bridge of Spirits, the art design is amazing, same with many final fantasy games.

Great video. I’ve never played that game, but it looks like it would have been fun. I’m always impressed with your creativity and resourcefulness involved while making the projects and your charming personality shines through while presenting them. You actually make it possible to feel nostalgic about something I’ve never seen before. That lava floor turned out looking so cool, (uhm…actually hot, but you know what I meant). It was all so well done!

It's such a great game! Ahhh you're always too kind, thank you so so much! To be honest I often stare at these videos editing them for so long that I'm never really sure if they're interesting at the end, so it means a lot to hear that. Also super happy you liked how the lava came out! The lava was a huge reason I wanted to make this, so glad you thought it turned out well~

@@MechanicalFiend Trust your instincts, sweetie. They're right on the money. I enjoyed every bit of this video. If you enjoy making something, it’ll come through and we’ll enjoy watching it. Have a great weekend.

I stumbled across your video by accident. And i love your video. I really like the miniature of the Red Sage's Hut. I especially like the lava. My favorite level is also the swamp. I really like the music and the atmosphere in general. And I really enjoyed playing the mission with the flut flut. Maybe I'll turn my Playstation back on and play another round.💙

Ahhh well so happy you found yourself here! Of course always so happy this can reach other Jak fans! The lava was a big reason that I wanted to make this, it was such a fun challenge to try and work with! Totally agree, I looooove the flut flut missions, that's part of the reason that I enjoyed Boggy Swamp so much. Hope you do get a chance to play if you want to, I replayed the whole game before making this and it was the best time!
