What a rollercoaster! The start with the tense walkup made me think the more melee-focused Orlocks would certainly have the edge, and for a moment it looked like they did! But then the devilishly tough Delaques tanked through the damage and hit back, and hard! When they took out two Orlocks, it seemed like the battle was won, but damn, that Argo is a beast! High damage all around. When he started swinging, the Delaques crumpled! They only pulled though by the skin off their teeth. The finale was very tense, but luckily for the Delaques Argo ran, otherwise it might have ended a lot more messy.

Agreed. The Iron Stare makes him a wild card. Snake Eyes only had one flesh wound to give so he was done. I was thinking if he did take him down I was going to flee. lol. Not going to risk two champions going down to that guy. Thanks for watching!

I think Hive Wars will be my 1st purchase since it has my two favorite gangs, Delaque and Esher. Not very much in the way of terrain but it get me started.

Welcome! That’s great to hear. Honestly terrain can be so expensive. That’s why I ventured into 3D printing to help supplement. I still own and use original kits but 3D printing some extra walls and columns have really helped out.

Shootout was a scenario where two small groups stumble into eachother with no planning whatsoever. You are in a settlement when you see the other blokes, no one really knows what to do but you also don't want to fold. It's right inside a settlement so none of you want to be the one to draw first.

This game was fantastic! "Obey the dice and never question them again," Seemed to be the right call! That was a very interesting mission. The updates for coup de grace rules in Dark Uprising from requiring targets to be within 1" to simply being Engaged really makes versatile weapons more powerful. Really made Argo even more of a beast.

Another great report and the best Shoot Out one I’ve seen. Keep them coming! One thing, and I might very well be wrong or have missed it, shouldn’t both gangs have taken bottle checks at the end of the Quick Draw round due to the OOA & SI? I thought it could be that the QD round was a separate entity so didn’t follow End Phase steps but you rolled recovery for the Delaque. Also, why were you rolling 2D6 for priority? Doesn’t really matter of course but I haven’t noticed you do it before. All queries just for clarifying in my own mind and games and not criticism. Thanks again for the sweet content.
@MiniatureGameMontage3 жыл бұрын
You’re right. So in the notes it didn’t say anything about having an “end phase” in the quick draw. So maybe I was wrong about rolling the recovery there or not rolling potential bottle tests. It just didn’t specify. So we agreed to do recovery and no bottle to keep the game lively bc we felt it could be really short if fighters start running immediately. Also that’s funny you caught those priority rolls. We just played a game of Kill Team so my brain was on that, lol. Thanks for your feedback!

Are you rolling on the Dominion campaign mission chart? Or where are you choosing your missions
@MiniatureGameMontage3 жыл бұрын
Kind of pulling from all over the place. Got a list of about 25 scenarios and roll a random number generator to determine. One thing we didn’t like about the dark uprising campaign in season 2 was limiting ourselves to 6 scenarios. So we opened it up. Goonhammer has been a massive help.

Something I didn't notice before, but how did Moose charge into Raven's side like that? I thought charges had to be made using the shortest path possible? If it wasn't like that, there's no reason not to charge into people's sides, but that's unrealistic. Was he trying to avoid being withing 1" with Sinfall? I think you can end up within 1" of targets you are not directly engaging with a charge as long as you end up base-to-base with one of them.
@MiniatureGameMontage3 жыл бұрын
Not technically I think. Like if you are 4” away from an enemy fighter and you have a 5” move you would still roll a charge. Let’s say you roll up an 8” charge. You could technically maneuver to their back. Unless I’m missing an FAQ I didn’t read the shortest path has to be taken. I did that for moose because he has that jump pack and forcing Raven to turn to face would be -1 to hit on counter attacks.
@Zaxus3 жыл бұрын
@@MiniatureGameMontage I think it's hidden in the actual movement rules. I'll look it up. ... Yep. Page 35 in the Dark Uprising rulebook hidden near the end of the second paragraph under "moving models." At least it isn't as bad as the hidden rules you still stumble over 7 years later in the 3.5 d&d books. So many...
@MiniatureGameMontage3 жыл бұрын
@@Zaxus LOL oh my gosh. It's like the last sentence in the second paragraph. It's funny because a few pages earlier under "Charging" is where I was looking and it mentions nothing about it. That's why they need to clean this stuff up. Thanks for pointing out that error!

Yeah we wait until after to report injuries and as we roll them the first is a 6 and you’re like, it’s already not good, lol.
@richmcgee4343 жыл бұрын
@@MiniatureGameMontage We generally roll them during the battle, mostly because getting something terrible affects decisions about whether to bottle or not. Also anyone who gets bonus XP from that one messy kill result immediately has a target painted on their head because payback is a thing. :)
@MiniatureGameMontage3 жыл бұрын
@@richmcgee434 That's a good way to look at it! That is the way it should be done. I'll try to incorporate it moving forward. :)
@richmcgee4343 жыл бұрын
@@MiniatureGameMontage Honestly don't think it matters all that much, no matter what the rules say about it. I suspect the biggest plus to the "official" way is that you won't forget to roll for anyone's serious injury during postgame. The other influences of rolling "in-game" are pretty minor. Except for immediately starting the headhunt for that SOB who just earned bonus XP for blowing you favorite champ's head clean off his shoulders, of course. :)
