I just bought my Coleman ct100u last week and have been modifying it. New seat and backrest. Readjusted the handle bars and throttle. Added headlights,new grips and a rearview mirror...lol! Wish I could show you a pic of it. I'm getting around 40 miles an hour easy. Love this lil fucker!

WOW! I never thought they would go that fast! I was thinking more along the range of 15 maybe 20 MPH at best. Of course, different sprocket ratios & tire sizes will make each one vary from bike to bike & all. Cool vid none the less. :-D

The governor is there to maintain a certain RPM based on a fixed throttle position against changing loads. The decades long standard RPM at full throttle is 3600 RPM. Works great as a utility engine, not so great on mini bikes and go karts.

Dylan, Imma Sleep Now 45-55. I took off the governor and added a smaller rear sprocket and got it to 50-55. You can get it higher but honestly the handling on it at the point is very scary and I almost crashed. Minibikes like that handle best 50 and under.

@@danielkach9551 DO NOT BUY IT FOR THAT MUCH. They're around 500 brand new! You'd have to change the gearing, and remove the governor to get to that speed. Ride it stock for a while and see how you like it. It might be fast enough for you how it comes.
