Minibus Campervan Conversion / FULL TIMELAPSE in 10 Minutes / DIY Van Self Build

This was interesting to watch, but the only reason I’m think of converting from a minibus instead of a van is for the windows. I’m totally baffled that you covered them up! Our current camper used to be an MPV so it has all windows, no walls, and I love it! I don’t want our next camper to be like all the others I see, which look like they’d be so dark inside, and I’d miss all the wake up views!

We actually ended up sleeping length ways and pulling out our pull out table as an extensions of the bed. Ended up working out really well! But yes - bit of a bad plan to think we could have slept width ways to start 😂

Nice changing, a few so clear for me. I look for the same kind of plan, but I think that I use to go for a VW multi van, excepted if I find a better affair. I don't care to work on some failures of the truck or minibus if necessary. Your insulation plan is nice, but I should prefer something more natural and so strong than that you choose, the expensed wood. it's powerful for worm and cold insulation as for the sound.

in order to fully furnish it from all sides with all your wood and stuff you have compromised space. thats easily 4 inches wested on both sides . That may not sound much in normal but in a camper i guess its huge.

Really good and affordable price too. I hate when people spend 40 or 50 k on a conversion , no point if you spend 40k conversion just buy a motorhome ready to go and keep the rest of the money in bank

Hey guys, great job with the build, I’m assuming when you bought the van the revenue weight was over 3.5t? Can I ask how you went about downplating it so it could be driven on a normal license? As I’m currently converting a minibus

Hello! Yes that's correct. So, we made sure the van was under 4.5 tonnes, took it to a weighbridge to have evidence of this, and sent this off to the DVLA (along with the v5) to get it downplated. Now it is under 4.5 tonnes it can be used on a normal license! Hope that makes sense.
