I'd say the BIGGEST challenge of all this is to maintain the ability to jam and improvise, but hold the music to structural moments like build-up, breakdown, and various styles of transitioning. The finishing touch of creating a "story" with an arc, with drama, with hypnosis, and with occasional harsh changes is the key to taking the "jam" into widespread commercial appeal. Ableton makes that so much easier to do. The clarity with which they explain their methods REALLY helps me understand how to implement that discipline in my own improvised sets.

Very good message. A friend sent me this video to represent what he dreams of. I like the bare foot part and the nature. I walk bare foot in the garden. And about meditation - it's a state, not thing to do, hence one can be in meditation, not "meditate". :) A common misunderstanding. People are in meditation more often they realize. Especially when they make music or walk bare foot (or lay down) in garden or nature. :) Good reportage!

Looking very fresh, alive, vibrant and good out there :) Nice to be close to Söderåsen (it's like the only elevated part of our contryside in Skåne/south south sweden) I have reached very similar conclusions as Markus and Sebastian have. Similar to what these guys say, it's a good thing to divide up your way of working and have sessions of pure jamming and music making... and sessions of production and enginnering so to say... As a producer and a performer i also differntiate when i make music between as i like to see it, production and plugin setup, signal chains, sample archive work, synth programming, etc... and the pure writing/jamming part where writing arrangements, parts, tweaking and jamming, and getting into the flow is the primary purpose, and in this space you don't budge out to go hunting for samples or testing out a new eq, you just flow with the music.. :) I am curious as to how far these guys have gone.. I have been moved to tears and high heavens of divine bliss in my creations when i really get into it... :) it's sorta like a tantric yoga mystical experience, a hypnonic suggestive state flow you get into if you allow it to happen that way... god's speed and good luck!
