I love the sprayer. When the diapers get more “ploppable” then the dunk and swish becomes easier, but by then you’ve been doing it a while and it’s not that gross anymore haha. When you’re still exclusively breastfeeding you really don’t have to spray off. I used to try to spray as much as I could off but honestly you can’t spray much off at that phase because it mostly soaks in. But it’s totally safe for your washing machine at that phase.

Seems like more covers than you’ll need. You know if they don’t soil the cover you just change out the inside. Usually people keep two in a rotation for a day. So one is on baby and one is stuffed on the changing table ready for the next change. Than you change baby, dump the soiled insert in the pail and stuff with a fresh insert. So if you’re washing every other day you could probably return the blue ones that you don’t really like and still have plenty of covers. I loved cloth diapering with my first two boys. I have another boy on the way but I had already given my cloth diapers away. I used smart bottoms all in one last time. I am switching to covers and inserts this time and found most everything used for a decent price in great condition.

Yeah, it doesn't work like that. She has the right amount of covers. You clearly do not cloth diaper or have not for long. I have been diapering for 6 years. She has just what she needs.

Cloth diapering is good financially but when you wash cloth diapers they shed micro plastics and fibers which go into the water system. You cannot really avoid that but they are not environmentally beneficial as when they are no longer useable (which only lasts a couple of years) they get thrown out and they do not break down and there are no recycling places that take them. Just make sure to not put microfiber directly against your baby's skin as it will cause rashes and irritation. Glad to see that you bought flats and cotton doublers. You should get some or make some fleece liners as that makes the cleaning of poop easier. Remember all flats, wipes and doublers will shrink. Especially is you use the dryer on high heat. Ultimately though do what works for you. Jay's Nest KZbin channel has tons of information for cloth diapering if your looking for a good resource. Be careful with the diaper ointments. Some can make the cloth diapers repel pee over time. You can buy cloth diaper friendly ointments or disposable liners for the diaper so that you can use whatever ointment works best.

Are those flats or flour sack towels? Flour sack towels can be used as flats. But flats are in general NOT* called flour sack towels

Your one of the luck one then!! I was confused because you look like your 16 but sounded like 25, lols. I hope cloth diapering works out for you. I breast fed all my children. Found out that the more children you have. The more milk you can produce. I hope you bought breast milk freezer bags. When you are sleeping your husband can pull one out warm it up and feed his son while you rest 😉. I hope all is going well for you. I send you best wishes.
