Bella is such a cute cat. Your grocery haul looked amazing other than the parsnips, they were definitely not fresh. I can't wait to see what you make with all the produce. You did a great job on keeping under the budget for the 2 weeks. It's also lovely to see your channel growing so much.

Hi Sally, thank you so much ❤️ I appreciate your encouragement and am so happy to be making these videos! Most of the shopping was good quality... and that trifle was really good 😋 will look forward to sharing meal plans and batch cooking using the ingredients! X

Hi, so pleased you enjoyed seeing the grocery haul, I was very happy with (most of!) the produce. Aw thanks Bella is a sweet girl but she knows it and has me wrapped around her little paw 😆 🐈 💕

Yes she'd be munching things if she was an outdoor cat, I may get her something to nibble to her hearts content, her own plant 🪴 😄 x

Grow Bella some catnip. In a massive pot so she can eat it and roll in it. My kitties used to love it 😊

Hi, I'm not on a budget but I always get great ideas for my meal plan from your videos. Like I find you use all ingredients I like but make amazing stuff. Like I can never get further than baked sweet potato, it never occurred to me to make a soup. Plus I loke breakfast foods, milk, yoghurt, fruit cereal but not tried museli or oats. It doesnt bother me if I dont get fresh looking fruit or veg though, but it is usually okay and weirdly I feel sad for the ones with close dates in case they dont get picked, so I never reach for the ones at the back! There are limits though haha, thank you

When the math ain't mathing! 😂 That's great that all of that was within budget. It looked like a good haul. For future reference, there's a section in the asda app where you can complain about items so that may be helpful. Also, Parma violets are my absolute fave. I just love the smell too! ❤ I need to find a bottle if perfume that smells like it x😊

The math definitely wasn't mathing that day 🤣 the equation is more coffee = clearer speech lol! Thanks Gina, yeah I managed to find (and make use!) Of that bit! I was not a happy bunny with those onions, mushrooms and parsnips! The Parma violets are for mum, she loves them! That's handy to know you're a fan too for future reference 😁💕 x

And if I ever come across perfume like that, I'll let you know!

Kenzo 'flower' smells like parma violets and you can get a dupe from Eden perfumes a lot cheaper (and they are vegan!). It's one of my favourites

Hi Gail, having the freezer meals is such a valuable backup for those days you just feel too tired to cook. Yes and for using less electricity too I agree, great minds think alike! Those homemade flat breads sound really good 👍 and nann breads are good value for money, thanks for sharing the tip 🙂 x

I stopped buying anything fresh on a delivery. I swear they give you the stuff they need to get rid of. And because we don't really need much else, I don't bother with deliveries anymore. It works out cheaper for us to just go to the shops. Of course, if I had a broken arm things might be a bit different ! ! ! ❤

Hi Lindsey, I'm definitely put off buying fresh from Asda now! And I feel the same, buying from the shops is cheaper as I'd go to lidl instead. But for the heavy things these days I've started using asda as it's only £1.50 delivery and it makes my life easier for heavies as I'm a non-driver! ❤️

I must add, in Asda's defence, they're all the same. I used Sainsbury's expecting them to be better quality (they're certainly more expensive). Everything they sent had less than 48hrs expiry date. How much do they think 2 pensioners can eat in 1 meal 😂

@LindseyMoody-ef6pj hi, that must've been really disappointing with the sainsburys delivery re: the freshness. Aw yes Asda are great for things like tinned/packaged foods I find, Bella's food, bargain beer and some great clearance items sometimes. Plus I like the rewards system to get money off shopping x
