🤣Our dishwasher works, but I just like washing what we use. It’s just my husband and myself 😊 I am the minimalist of the family and control the clutter coming in and out. My chores are done before we go to bed and wake up to an always picked up/clean house. I dust, vacuum/mop, do bathrooms once a week and it’s done in about 20-30 minutes. We have a 5 bedroom/3 bathroom house, but only live in about a 1/4 of it. I only clean where we live every week and hit the whole house about every 3 months. It’s easy when you don’t have clutter to dust or pick up all the time.

I like the fly lady system. It keeps me from feeling overwhelmed with all the tasks, as I just focus on one task each day and one area each week. Monday is the weekly home blessing - main traffic areas, vacuum and wash the floors. Tuesday is desk day, that's dealing with any paper work and bills. Etc.

I started the Fly lady system back in 2009 and still use. I did modify it to suit my needs. I use to like watching her but in the last number of years she has gotten really WEIRD with conspiracy theories and a strange religious bent. Did you find that?
@iriswelch35535 ай бұрын
@@roxanne4534 Haven't watched her in years and I also modified it for myself. I do watch Diane in Denmark though.

Weird religion bent is highly disrespectful way to speak about another person's faith. You don't have to agree but there should be a line in the sand you don't attack someones faith or religion. @@roxanne4534

30 second rule has helped me a lot, along with not striving for perfection. I used to see toothpaste blobs in the sink, or a piece of dirt on the floor, and I would subconsciously feel almost happy, thinking that when I cleaned it (on the upcoming scheduled cleaning day), it would feel good to clean such a messy space. Now I just do the little things as I go, and everything feels clean-ish most of the time, rather than just once a week.

Yes I definitely do ❤️ when I come home I need a place that is simplified so my brain can relax and rest 😍

♥ So true about fabric headboards being difficult to clean. I finally had to remove the one I bought for my daughter because it triggered her dust allergies, especially when I vacuumed and disturbed it. Another funny thing is I bought a stick vac specifically because it would fit all the way under our beds but I find myself just grabbing the Swiffer Sweeper because it reaches just as well and is so light and takes no electricity to use.

Love it! I use our mop under the bed too but I like to grab all our dogs hair first with the vacuum 🤣 it’s amazing how much our small papillon can shed in a day!

@@minimalease I should have specified Swiffer sweeper so I'll edit that in.

Same here with the dishwasher. We don't have one anymore. I didn't find it to be a timesaver in any way for our home. Staying on top of the dishes is key. And ditto on off-the-ground furniture. It also discourages a place for spider webs.

Same! And I like the satisfaction of doing them myself it slows me down 😍

I'd love to have clutter free surfaces but I'm in rented accommodation with very little space/storage space especially in the kitchen and even though I've minimised everything & tried to corral things I'm still struggling. I'm looking forward to watching your video on flat surfaces in the hope it will give me some ideas I haven't thought of ❤️

Aww hope I can help ❤️ it’s been a process for me to learn and declutter as much as I have over the past 4-5 years so it didn’t just happen over night ❤️❤️

I totally agree with cleaning flat surfaces. The problem is having a place to put everything. Will you create a video about organization please?! Especially in a kid's bedroom would be super helpful. I keep trying to organize my 10 year old's room but it always ends up messy.

When the kids were younger I used to have a basket at the bottom of the stairs to put things to take later upstairs 🌸 Now it’s a bit easier, but getting rid of things is the best solution 😅. As long as my kids live with me I will se my dishwasher, but in the future I don’t see a point. I actually like washing the dishes, if they are not too many ❤

I only us my dishwasher once a month. The rest of the time I use it as my dish rack. Nothing on my counter and then I just let them air dry.
