I'm female a from the USA and I only have one handbag. I use only 3 pairs of shoes and few clothing. I'm not a minimalist. I just was raised by parents who were poor. They didnt have alot of money. So I'm used to not owning lots of stuff, but I do have a 1300sq foot home, 3 bedroom, 2 full bath, garage and fireplace in living room. Separate kitchen and dining area with a decent fenced back yard for gardening and have 4 dogs. 1 vehicle. I purchased my home on my own, no man or parents helped me get my home.

It's 5 am and I woke up too early so, i'm watching your videos with a blanket on. I want to tell you something special. Since I've discovered your channel, my heart palpitations are on a break I've suffered a lot of them lately, but you've given me something that acted as medication. For such a young person, you're teaching me life lessons in your own way such as mindfulness, and that it's not a silly thing to look forward to simple happiness. You and I have very different lives, I am alone and isolated and you have someone to love and care for. You also have a very bright future ahead of you. But still, as I see you doing your daily rituals, I feel we're alike in that way. I find great pleasure in doing these. I admire you, you've followed your dreams and i lived afraid all my life and never did anything. I'm 47 and I'm sad because of it, my life feels empty of true joy.

People like you and Marie Kondo have been teaching me so much since last year... I have also started approaching a minimalist lifestyle and have already gotten rid of so much stuff, that I can now easily fit all my belongings into a small one-room apartment without it looking cluttered and I have never felt more relaxed and grateful in my life. You inspired me SO MUCH. Last night after I worked all day ( I am a nurse in New York) I completely went through all of my clothes and jackets I got rid of four bags of clothes to donate. I kept only what I absolutely love and fits well. When I was done I felt such a huge weight off my shoulders . I folded everything like you showed in your last video and organized. I am so happy!! And the fact that most of my night stand also is covered in hair stuff and lotions and some more make-up.. And the four closets that it takes to hold all my clothes.. And my impressive handbag collection.. And I live alone. At least I look pretty while doing it. Rhea, you are an inspiration. And your videos bring me peace and also gives me a goal for my own life. Linnéa Larsson yup! I have drawers full of makeup, a walk in closet. Probably about 30 purses and probably 50 pairs of shoes. My dog even has a lot of clothes 😂 I can’t help it I like to have lots of choices.

@@Quit3Cut3 that's so true! I can relate, I love having a variety of things to choose from. But after watching this channel I am completely different! I used to be a unicorn and rainbow person with so many colourfull stuff! Now look at me, all my things are either brown, beige or cream coloured and I am trying to restrict myself from buying all nonsense (yet my love for stationery will obviously continue!). You can change yourself too and all you need is a minimalistic heart and brain and a pair of hands to control you from buying too many things :))

If you're interested in minimalism and helping the environment I recommend purchasing reusable cotton pads for make up and skincare! You use them the same way you normally use disposable cotton pads, but instead you can just put them in the laundry to wash and reuse.

I love your cute little place. You are well organized and use your space wisely. You also save money when you have a smaller space little that. My husband, son and I lived somewhere with only two rooms for several years, so we had to learn how to work with the space we had... Most apartments in our area wouldn't rent to us if we didn't pay for our son to have his own room. But luckily we were finally able to get a house a few months before I had our second child.
