My building in nyc has banned residents from ownership of escooter (and other emobility items such as ebikes, hoverboard, eskate boards etc) with litium battry on premise, so i had to sell my minimotor escooter (speedway 3). I think this is becoming a trend in nyc now, since there has been fire issues with litium battry in nyc, (although personally, I think that fire issues has been mostly with ebikes and not escooters in nyc, but building management has to take precaution). This sucks for me, as my escooter was helping me to get around town. I hope that escooter brands could release an escooter with litium battry alternative, so that I can own an escooter again. If this ban eventually, becomes common city wide, then, that a niche in the market?
