Could you explain the geology and the interpretations of glacial morraine gold deposits? I've seen massive terminal morraines at the south end of Flathead Lake, massive piles of water worn cobbles from the meltoff of the massive continental glacier terminus.
@TheMiningChannel Жыл бұрын
For sure!! I have a video coming out in a couple of months all about it. There is a lot of areas on a maraine that can be richer then the moraine itself. Melteater channels parallel to the lateral moraine are usually the richest in my area. My claim doesn't have a terminal moraine and is upstream, thise can be rish also. The moraine itself carries gold also, just a big mix of the meterial. I'll get into it more in that video. Thanks for watching:)

Great video! How do you know that a glacier transferred tertiary channel gravels up the mountainside? What testing did you do to figure that out?
@TheMiningChannel2 жыл бұрын
Hey Nicholas. This area is known for this type of deposit, the layering of pebbles, sands and cobble follow the bedrock contours whether they are 10° or 80°. There is are no flat layering on my claim where this meterial is deposited. The many reports about this claim say it is tertiary but I think it is just interglacial gravels mixed with yearly glacial melt forming the layers(I'm no geologist lol) I still want to get you out one day to do a area on the valley bottom. I had a tough year waiting on permits and couldn't afford much..

@@48thstateprospecting I have 320 hectares on this site but not all of it is minable. Each cell up here is 20 hectares. I think the minelife here is 5-10 years at this scale. I have larger equipment but don't wish to run it. It is so nice to not feel rushed and just enjoy it all.

Have you ever gotten a huge nugget? If so, how much was it worth?
@TheMiningChannel Жыл бұрын
Hey Toni, the largest I have found has been 14 grams, not sure on value. It was found the day after Dan left on this video
