Thanks for watching. It was a large gem, but after cutting into it the quality was poor. The video would not have been very good since any pieces made from it would not have been worth spending time on.

I always find rubies and sapphires there some days are better than others. It is all about how much dirt you can process.

Hello Bruce, good video! I recently did a video of the stuff I found at this mine from 1976 till 1981 or 82. We used to go to Franklin 2 times a year for 2 weeks at a time and most of those days we spent at the mine. Back then it was a lot different and the fee was I believe $5.00, not sure if that was kids and $10 for adults or $5.00 for any age to dig all day. There seems to be a lot of interest in that video as it has over 200 views in 2 days & I only have 172 Subs. Anyway I hope you enjoy it if you check it out......Take care! 😉😁
