Coal India news: -
IN FY 20: -
CIL covered 813 hectares & as a result the contribution of CIL to the total carbon dioxide emission was only 0.65% of 2616million tons.
IN FY 21: -
CIL targeted 739 hectare plantation but it achieved 116% of target covering 862 hectares.
IN FY22
CIL targets over 1300 hectares plantation program. So as to push India towards zero emission goal.
Ministry of Coal news: -
Shri Tapas Kumar Nag sir (Ex CMD, NCL) is appointed as the head of 5-membered committee made on safety of mines.
