I just got ONI yesterday and it felt great. I had a real big water problem as there was too much + the basin covers the whole bottom of the base and my people didn't want to power my research but i'm still working on it

You should really build one long fire pole from the base to the oil biome, so your dupes wouldn't take quite as long going down and up again for the lead and other stuff. And it's always fun to watch them slide down the poles.

hey blitz i got a top tip, you can build tempshift plates from the utillities tab out of ice and they really help with cooling water pools

@@kurzninja trust me, it works and also it can be a quick and easy way to kill slimelung in small blobs of slime if you are scared of germs in oni like me - just replace some of the algae in the slime biome with the freezing tempshift plates

In the settings you can change it to from C to F for temps if that's what you are into.

Blitz im glad you are back! Dont forget you have 2 cold steam gysers around your base somewhere! Before you go amd set your steam free turbines down. (Unless that doesnt matter)

Cool steam geysers are to cold to run steam turbines sadly, they produce steam at 95C but the turbines need steam at 125C to run

@@Archeos92 ohh thanks! I havent played ONI in a long time so I wasnt sure, but good info. How hard would it be to heat them up? Shouldnt be too hard if they are already that hot or would that negate too much lf the power made?

@@nikdogers2 that would be quite energy ineffective just for energy. You could plop in some aquatuners and cool something else, water or just something in the bas. Cool steam geysers are a bit tricky, since they are to hit to be very useful as a water source and to cold to generate energy.

Hey blitz, you can place a background tile behind the ice in the water, this way it get in contact with the water and it meld fast and cool off the water

you can put a liqud stop on the bad water pipe and a germs sensor before it and then you can set that to 0 germs and the water is in the tanks until clean and then it will get new water automatically...
