people always overestimate the worht of HP. you are spending a ton of resources on letting the attack waves last longer for a finite amount. Meanwhile upgrading your attack capabilities allows you to ward off the attack better and prepares you for the next. Now if HP got reset every battle, it would be worth more of course, but since it isnt, more HP is barely worth anything
