Why bother buying this $650 thing that can only do 8 samples when one can buy off eBay a used but fully functional PCR cycler with 96 positions block for $200-300?

Big issue with this side of biotech, and consequently why people are still ignorant and as they are(Non participatory in bioscience{In the same way people can readily try to jump into code and mathematics}). Problem is it's a business rather than an open source sort of revolution. They aim to make it slightly more affordable to a specific demographic which is bulk buying institutions. It doesn't have an incentive to get cheaper because they really aren't making it for a more maverick crowd despite how mobile or accessible these modularizations of the tech is.

Why buying a used PCR for 200-300$ on ebay when you can basically BUILD one?! Yes! You can build one! What these guys are selling is basically ARDUINO with some code in it (which guess what,it's a public code). You can build this on your own for less then 50$....THese guys are just some greedy bastards...
