about the tip part in japan i think it is actually "rude" to leave a tip in japan. well its not rude but its like the people that work there already get some sort of extra payment in a way so leaving a tip is like giving extra extra money I think. So they just dont know what to do with it. or something like that
@undeniablysexy5222 жыл бұрын
Yeah your right
@nicholasotis6332 жыл бұрын
I don’t understand how that counts as being rude tho. 🤨 Wouldn’t extra extra money be a good thing and something to be appreciative of?
@vazid80182 жыл бұрын
@@nicholasotis633 meh, well its not really "rude" but basically tips are to either show a sign of appreciation or that the service was good right? But in Japan, instead of being benefitted from the tip its just not helping them. SInce it confuses them because they wont know what to do with the money. So its basically just making the people confused. thats what its doing to leave a tip. So thats why some people consider it "rude" and so some people might think that the person giving the tip knows this so in some people's eyes they might see that person just intentionally confusing the waiter.

@@nicholasotis633 japan has different social standards
@aujsijsjiaj33532 жыл бұрын
@@vazid8018 One of the reasons which I experienced while I worked in a Japanese restaurant and cafe in Japan, they see tipping as alms-giving or feel like customers looking down the restaurant and it's service although Japanese people know the tipping culture from USA. If you tell them how much you loved the food with respectful words they might take tips but still less likely. Of course, it doesn't apply to all people. It's just some people feel or been taught for not taking tips from older generations.
