I bought the T-Bao Mn 35 for my mother's HTCP on your recommendation and it looks like I got a great deal, esp once I boosted things a bit with Ryzen Controller (and installed the AX 200, repasted, etc). I don't think we're going to see a big boost from this segment until the 4000 series comes down to minipcs. Still, it's amazing what the MN35 can do for the price. My mother loves it.

Thanks for the review. I have bought this mini PC but the max CPU speed on stress test at 100% is 3.2ghz that Is more less than the 4.0ghz indicated in the tech specs. I have ask about this at the service customer and they answer that the CPU Is optimized. The mini PC works fine but I think that the vendor must indicate the fight CPU max speed

If you lower the pop density in Cyberpunk to low, you'll get playable fps.

I really like these mini pcs. Low price, practical to transport(robust and small). I use a big 4k screen both at home and at work. The extra cost are two keyboards, mouse, screen and power.

Update: For the 35W TDP Minisforum said that the BIOS needs to be updated however that it’s not recommended to change it to 35W because the advantages outweighs the disadvantages. Isn’t that a good thing? Anyway I think they meant the other way around. Nonetheless the BIOS has to be refreshed. Use at your own risk. I confirmed and I’m waiting to here back again. Do you think by making it 35W it could cause damage to this unit? What do you think?

Thanks for that info. More heat for sure it might run into thermal throttling but then 10W more will really boost the performance especially the Vega 10 gfx.

Not all ssd drives can line up on the screw hols ,also the screen will try for a update and the screen goes back. And you can only switch off and switch back on then complete the set-up then restart.

I just got this model, is it possible to upgrade the RAM to 32GB? On the box it shows a 16GBx2 option while I have the 16GBx1 option.

They contact me. Minisforum said the reason it’s locked at 25W is because the fan will get louder if it’s set to 35W TDP. I told them that’s fine. Still working with them on a work around. Waiting to hear back.

Hope all is going well. i have a dilema, im in need off a good pc, im starting to code in sql, and im going to be doing Power Bi in a near future....i dont know if to get one off these mini pcs with de most powerfull procesar possible, a laptop , though this are a lot more expensive, or build myself a pc....what would be the best mini pc u would recommend? thanx

The ASUS Ryzen 4700U or 4800U mini PCs are one of the best or a laptop with the 4800H is very good but a bit expensive. All depends on your needs.

Thanks for all these reviews. I'm looking for a budget minipc for light audio and video editing. No gaming, really. I'd like it to connect to the same Dell WD15 usb C dock already connected to my dual monitors (2x 1080p) and other peripherals. Like to get something with 256 or 512 M.5 SSD and open slot for a 2TB SSD I already own. What options would you suggest I look at? Thanks!

I'm currently "dating" such one of those AMD based mini PC's to become my main home PC mostly for internet browsing and to watch video streams, so no gaming involved, but what concerns me the most is overheat. Will a computer of this caliber to overheat after some 2 hours watching such a 4K or even a simple HD Netflix or similar video? Those boxes sem pretty small to the specs offered!... Excuse me and have a nice day!...

Still haven't bought a minipc to replace my aging mediabox. If I may have a blunt opinion, although their products have a quality, IMO they are overpriced for what you get. For $569 I would Expect a fully unlocked bois on this machine, to name but one thing. They also don't offer full barebone versions of their products. So you are sorta forced to buy a, more expansive, hardware bundle. At the moment there are a few new Chinese oem minipc's with an Intel 4c8/t i5-8265u, 8259u's and i7-7700hq, that go fully barebones under 250 euro. For a media box and light backup system it looks really good. With an ADT-egpu over m.2 nvme it could make it a nice light gaming machine as well.

I got this and the dmaf5. Both similar performance in real terms. The um700 had a hardware fault and wouldn't ramp up to full speeds, seems to be a common fault. The Vega 11 I am told struggles to outperform the 8 on shaders. Form factor is amazing tho. I'm just not sure who this is for. You can increase tdp limits in the bios and use ryzen controller to push it but I wasn't able to get a lot more out of it.

There is a 35W bios that does help push performance a bit you can get from MINISFORUM. Mostly the GPU benefits from it with higher GPU clocks.
