If men want to take on multiple wives in today's times, widowed women and single mothers whose baby father's are absent would be a great place to start to strengthen our community. Also take on older women that will have a harder time finding husbands and providing them with stability(ages 32-45 or so). Legally adopt the children and become financially and emotionally responsible for them as their father. Also legally split assets amongst the women and their children in your demise with an attorney so all is equal. Provide a home and protection for all wives and children equally. I could absolutely agree with this. It would make our community more stable, and allow more 2 parent familes. It would also create a greater legacy.

Polygamy is so bad in general and bad for your health and much worse than monogamy. Because: Sure you GIVE good: Love for all, freedom, no jealousy (umm right), no clingyness, stuff like that. But you also GIVE terrible: not ever giving full attention to anyone, making no one feel special, making a lover wait around while your in another location with another lover, etc etc. And that's just not good enough. Not loving / caring enough. I have to say that I always find this discussion terribly disappointing, because it proves that we as a people do not know our history, or our chosen religion. Both the Bible and the Quran speaks on, aligns with and grants polygamy under particular acceptance. However, religion aside I will say that the decision is a personal choice and both husband and wife must agree and understand the reason for practicing or not practicing the act of polygamy. Too many times we go into a relationship with two different beliefs and values and that is what destroys the relationship, not the concept of polygamy. However, name me one culture in the hundreds of thousands of years humans have walked this earth where polygamy was not practiced. Even during women ruling countries thrived and yet, polygamy was still practiced. Also consider that blacks ruled this world for thousands of years up until the late 1400s and only through white supremacy has the idea of monogamy been socially oppressed amongst our people (of course this was only after whites were finish with using black women has breeders and black men as bucks to produce more slaves, this included forcing us into incest relations). So, if blacks, Asians, natives and all non white people have successfully ruled throughout the world and lived in harmony, explored the world and achieve some of the greatest things that still can't be explained and they did this all while practicing both monogamy and polygamy than why do you think this modern society under white supremacy & oppression is the better choice? I feel that once we have a better understanding of black history, black religion and black people as a whole excluding what the Europeans would have you think then your outcome may be different. Many people and women are not considering this when they speak of individual fears of sharing their man, even tho in reality their fears have not stopped adultery. I'm totally against polygamy. If a man want to marry more than one wife....he wouldn't be with me. I'm a very loyal person.... however I do draw a line when it comes to sharing a man. I would rather stay single for the rest of my life.....then to degrade myself by sharing a man with four other wives. It's best to let go of this type of man...who likes to cheat and/or lack self disciplined in controlling his behaviors and/or sexual behavior patterns.

Unless you are a virgin I promise you that you have shared a man. I would not say a woman who has a cowife is degrading herself. She is a woman who is mature and secure enough to be in such a relationship. Polygamy is not about sex or the man having multiple sex partners it is so much bigger than that. The women are covered and protected I know women love to scream how they would rather be single and that is cool. But the protection, leadership, and covering of a man is a beautiful thing. If that man decides he is able to cover, lead, protect, provide, and love multiple women and MARRY them there is nothing wrong with that. Polygamy is not cheating it is a committed relationship and it is not for the insecure or faint of heart.

I know more men who have married girlfriends than I do women who have side men. I work with a few men who are in full-on relationships with married women. One of them as been in a relationship with his married girlfriend for six years. Women will never accept one-sided polygamy. Not in this society and rightfully so. A woman CAN cancel a man and have another at her door in the same hour.

Very disappointed with the minister. His understanding of the Quran is extremely weak. Allah is saying EVEN though it is not possible for you to be PERFECTLY just with all your wives, you can STILL marry 2, 3 or 4 wives. The "If you can't justice then marry only one" is for people who are extremely unjust. Furthermore, there are verses in the Quran about permission to have sex with slave women with their consent.

Jesus also never married YET comes from people that practiced polygamy too. In fact Jesus would not exist if it were not for the 4th son (Judah) of the patriarch Jacob/Israel that fathered 12 SONS from both his wives and both his concubines (4 women) thus resulting in 12 tribes. Allah SWT/The Most High has no commandments against polygamy and apparently supported it SO with this being stated, it is also fair to quote Jesus too. Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill." So if there is NO commandment from The Most High against polygamy then Jesus would not be among those to abolish it.... Correct?
