I might be the only person out there, but I hate the "No pre-measuring mechanic" that often crop up in GW's side games. To me, it doesn't add anything to the game, and it leads to turns like this were Luka ended up wasting an activation, which is super frustrating. It doesn't even make sense, either. You are telling me that the giant titan with super advanced computer systems, doesn't have a system that can check if something is in range of its guns?

I've noticed in the last few videos that one or both player's voices do not come through both sides of earbuds/headphones plugged into my phone. Often one player can be heard in both, but the other only comes through one side. It might just be a specific mic that needs to be replaced.

One mistake to help you, FAQ pg.3 "Q. If a Titan weapon suffers multiple hits and more than one of them causes the weapon to be disabled, is the weapon simply disabled or does one hit disable it and any others detonate it? A. The first. Just as new modifiers do not affect Armour rolls from the same weapon attack, a disabled weapon does not detonate from subsequent hits from the same weapon attack." :-)

Absolutely loved the old SPACE MARINE game, I'd argue it was the best as you had such a huge scale! Titans, infantry, vehicles, flyers, artillery! It had it all. Why was it discontinued and has never come back???
@RepKyle95
@RepKyle95 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly? I bet it has to do with the sheer complexity of having to sculpt and mold and deal with things at so many different scales in the same system, and considering how many models you would need to run a large game like that, people would be less likely to buy into it. Just like how Apocalypse for 40K basically just gets books every now and then, but they don't really release Apocalypse-exclusive models because of the cost-of-entry.

Also side rule fact - they changed a while ago how weapon destruction worked. Essentially when you disable a weapon with the same damaging weapon hit - they all work to disable the weapon and none do dmg to the body because it is resolved simultaneously - think of how void shields work.

So glad to see Titanicus again. Per the faq (bottom of page 2), the same shot that disables a weapon cannot cause the detonation, which you guys did a few times (same logic as shields). Also, towards the end Luka was taking the maximal fire plasma value even though he didn't use the maximal fire (I'm guessing he was getting tired). Otherwise keep up the great job, I'm looking forward to more Titanicus content and getting in my own games as well.

As the Warhound stumbled, trying hopelessly to regain its balance, it's less than graceful fall took it into the path of the nearby Reaver Titan crashing into its armored legs like a child clinging to its brother for balance. With a bellow of disdain from the Princeps suiting of a sibling in the 41st millennium, the Reaver cast the Warhound away flinging its lifeless carcass aside. Such disappointing progeny would not cast a shadow upon the honor of the Reaver this day.

So as you found out ... War March is not a good thing to do with Warhounds. It's bad enough pushing their reactors when you just have to roll the dice once. If you have to roll it twice you can expect them to die as their shields will drop, they'll take crits to the body and then they overheat and go pop. Pushing a Warhound's reactor is something to do by exception and I can't imagine ever War Marching with them as they don't need the extra speed. War March is fantastic for short and mid range Warlords and fighty Reavers though. Astorum Warlords are really tough. Regia is a good maniple for Astorum. War Marching Warlords advance at the same speed as unboosted Warhounds, the Warlords' shields protect the Warhounds and the enemy dies in a storm of plasma, megabolter and Gatling fire.

I would also suggest avoid calling Uluṟu a big dumb rock given that is pretty sacred to some of the Aboriginal peoples.
@CaMooflaged
@CaMooflaged 3 жыл бұрын
But it's still a big, dumb rock. Whether it's special to some, to most it is just a big, dumb rock. In fact you can call this just an observation. Also, unless you are an aboriginal person, then don't make opinions of what they would be offended by. If you are aboriginal then disregard this
@CaMooflaged
@CaMooflaged 3 жыл бұрын
@@DorianGrayClampitt how so? Do we have to keep in mind every single group of people's opinions when saying your own opinion/observation of something, especially if you don't know that group of people's opinion on the matter or the relevancy of the context. The Uluṟu or Ayers Rock is truly just a big, dumb rock when looking at it purely objectively. It's importance to the Anangu people isn't downplayed and in fact isn't mentioned in the video as the reference is only to how big the rock terrain was so hey, maybe don't be an asshole?
@CaMooflaged
@CaMooflaged 3 жыл бұрын
 @Dorian Gray Clampitt So, let's go through this: Education, we don't need to care about people's opinions otherwise no one would be able to expand their knowledge as people have differing opinions, we should be teaching facts and not opinions. in fact, education should help mold and aid in creating or adjusting opinions in people For fun, I agree, it shouldn't really be important there. Representing a business, there should be some care but not to the point where someone's comments over a rock could be extrapolated to be rude towards the native population, just as much as saying that the Eiffel Tower is a big, dumb, tower of steel could be an insult to the French people who love it or saying the pyramids are big, dumb piles of rock could be an insult to the Egyptians themselves. All it was was commentary of the object. Being a edge lord? In what way, I'm not attempting to be cool or edgy, I'm just trying to point out that calling something big and dumb doesn't mean you're calling it's history or religious following big and dumb, just the object itself Secondly you argue about the word "dumb", there's many definitions for dumb, both formal and informal such as "producing no sound" or "foolish; stupid" or even "lacking the human power of speech", so using the other definitions of dumb, it can work, or you can accept a colloquial term of calling something a "big, dumb object" in reference to the context of talking about how absurdly big an object is, another example is calling something "stupidly big", this doesn't refer to ability to think or how smart something is, it's more so referring to the absurdity of it's size Thirdly, you say "So when you say its dumb rock, what are you saying?" and then proceed to go with your notion of what dumb means, disregarding any informal or colloquial definitions, especially within the context of the entire statement, rather than just singling out a single word. Also, you say " i am either referring to its design, and which point i am saying that there person designed it" what's the other option? as calling something dumb doesn't mean you're insulting it's design, like how I can call Magic the Gathering a dumb game, I'm not calling the game stupid, or saying it can't talk, and in fact I think the design of the game can be pretty cool, this is just my opinion of the game itself and not the designers of the game or the players of the game or even the history and culture that surrounds the game. Lastly, you state "There was no real need to say “Ayers rock is a dumb rock”, none. he could have stuck with saying “its huge rock! like a mountain or a rock the side of apartment complex!”" yet you once again take it out of the context, but to get to the question, it's simple why he said it, he said what first came to mind. A "big dumb rock" a colloquial term for referring to something exceptionally large
@CaMooflaged
@CaMooflaged 3 жыл бұрын
@@DorianGrayClampitt okay, so while I do agree, I was focusing on the teaching rather than the methodology. however while i agree with limits on how far a teacher can go, I still think that there are some uses such a swearing for exaggeration and similar, this is still classed as offensive that can create a more personal bond between teacher and students. your second point is a completely different scenario than the one presented in this video, a more relevant idea would be they point at a deep canyon terrain piece and say "That would be a giant canyon, that would be huge right, that would be a national... I can't think of the word right now... a natural wonder" "Like if this was, imagine the giant canyon in America, The Grand Canyon, the big, dumb canyon in the middle of nowhere, It's like that's what that would be". You can find the definitions, including "lacking the human power of speech" with the example of "dumb animals" in the Merriam-Webster dictionary and the Collins dictionary "So your saying the game designers designed a game that is “dumb”" No, I think the design of the game is pretty cool, i personally find the game dumb and wouldn't play it, but I like the design of the game, and the effort the creators put into it. And if we're talking about art "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" is a perfectly reasonable saying as that which one person finds beautiful or admirable may not appeal to another. It has nothing to do with the skill of the artist themselves (example - Hirst's ashtray art) The problem with your last paragraph is you're saying that he "should be aware of HOW It sounds when the audience is outside of your region/culture" even though there are millions of different cultures. another word is the Australian word for sandals, they call thongs, should they "be aware of HOW It sounds when the audience is outside of your region/culture" as it can sound quite rude out of it's context or for example when (if you don't mind me going a bit more to the extremes) African radio hosts saying why gay's should be imprisoned or killed as in a lot of the culture in Africa is very anti-gay and thus is normal for those cultures. What people need to do is be aware of HOW It sounds more so in the creators region/culture to gain full context of the meaning. While it also may cause offence you can be against what someone says, but it doesn't mean you get the right to take offence for another group.

Uluru is a world heritage site, a fascinating geological formation, and (for better or worse, mostly worse) a major source of tourism for Australia, so it has significance far beyond its religious importance. Calling it a "Big Dumb Rock" without even knowing its name is impressively ignorant.

This seems interesting, I don't see why it has to be Horus-Heresy Era, I think it's just as good to be along with 40k currently. I dislike these charts, not for the glare, but if they're just for the players to keep track maybe they can be edited out. I am confused, I recently learned about Titan sizes and it says the warhounds come in at about the size of Knights, and the Knights seem way bigger than these models. The Legio Mortis got Renamed the Deaths Heads, so I think we should just call them Deff Skullz. ;) Still, pretty fun bat-rep.

What knight mdoels are you talking about? Titanicus knights stand 1.5-3 inches tall and warhounds stand 3-3.5 inches tall.

It's set in the HH era because at that point in time titan legjos were still everywhere but in the 41st millennium most titan legios don't exist anymore and titan battles are quite rare. HH era titan-vs-titan battles occur quite commonly, allowing the developers more freedom in creating legios and maniples :)

@@bddb9239 What are you talking about, Knights in 40k are like the size of Terrain pieces.

@@bddb9239 OH, okay. I thought it was going to be all scaled the same as 40K stuff because of what I had heard. Thanks for Clarifying.
