Neat bit of kit. Seems to be aimed at the £70k+ VW Camper market to tow as a bedroom/storage/outdoor kitchen given it’s high price and lack of convenience as a standalone unit.

An American KZbin channel I watch tried a off road teardrop caravan and it didn’t work for them, as you need perfect weather. You live outside of these and just use it to sleep. In the UK these will be very niche, but proves there is something for everyone. Great review and thanks for highlighting these.

Thank you for this tour. Really comprehensive and that’s been needed. I love the look of the mink. It’s been available before, pre pandemic it was available to rent. Broadlane have suggested they may do that in the future. I’m new to trailers so defo need to try before I buy. The price has increase really significantly in the last few years … I’m guessing inflation or popularity.

Really interesting to see something different which people may not previously considered, if you are used to tent camping this would give you a step up to something usable all year round. Not for me but I think it is a funky space that would appeal to some. Thanks for showing us around

Looks like a high quality build with lots of custom parts, suitable for offroad use. This alone justifies the high price for the base model. I'm sure the insulation and the heating are superb but it seems to be missing a number of details for the European market (UK included). There's no fly mesh in the side windows, no awning rail for a tarp, (possibly) no sun protection for the roof window. If one's looking for a teardrop, there's lots of other options around.

We own one - there are fly screens for both doors ( stored under the mattress and pop on), sun awning for the sun roof but no awning rail. A VW T4 awning fits the back well. Brilliant bit of kit if you don't want a bit caravan, another vehicle or tent...

I really really like this little machine, it’s very funky and licence friendly and you could tow it with almost any car. The desperately disappointing thing is the price. I realise it’s low manufacturing numbers and intricate construction features probably add to the price. Not for mass market perhaps but a fantastic looking caravan (nay cara-van) none the less.

Very nice little camper - ideal for someone swapping from a tent who wants a little bit more luxury. However I do personally prefer the American teardrop caravans as they seem to have a lot more space, and also a higher specification. These small campers are always higher priced than mass produced caravans as they are a smaller production run.

Had something very similar, it was called a teardrop trailer. We paid £5000 for it, so this does seem to be overpriced. I do love the style and look of this trailer. The go pod caravans are cheaper than this and you would seem to get more extras and value for your money. Also for £19000 you could buy a swift basecamp

Hi Roger, I didn’t see any specific gas storage places but one of the options that puts it up to the higher price point is a small gas burner hob. This goes in the kitchen area. Does look cool but I as a festival goer I can’t help but imagine driving rain and muddy boots that combined with no awning I think it would get very messy very quick dragging all that onto your bed and for the price I can’t help but feel like the base camp 2 is a better option that said I really do like this and wish I could make it work but sadly I just can’t see it not without a change somewhere

Love the sunroof, love the look, couldn’t do without a loo though. £20 k is a lot when you can get a Basecamp or Action but many of the little pods are expensive. I guess they build in smaller numbers so have higher costs. If they’ve already sold some then that speaks for itself. Good review Karina, I was waiting for you to climb in and demo the hatch.
