Glad you were able to get it fixed and it was easier than you thought. I'm quickly learning stainless steel quality varies drastically. Ive bought some that has no magnetism and others that were magnetic and had rust in a year on it. It's like the 1700s again...can't trust anything and you've gotta be prepared to fix everything. Time to go fishing!

Hey Mr Wallace, those pins are made to shear off to save your gears In case you hit something. Just like the older outboards. Stainless will not shear.

Hope you are getting better. I'm not a mechanic but I fake it sometimes. You seem to be a man off many talents.

I had to drill my pin out. Then couldn't find a replacement so I bought a whole prop kit with prop, pin and nut for around 30 bucks. Not too many of us around that like the hand control
