I gotta say, Cory is also really good at explaining and conveying somewhat sensitive subjects like self-improvement, self-worth and such in a concise and unabashed manner.

This comes from confidence in yourself, it's a positive force. He isn't doubting whether what he's saying is true, it is true for him, he believes in himself. It's confidence but not arrogance, which is a line you don't wanna cross. He's also musically and thoughtfully pretty articulate and clear. I think he said it best where he has a unique voice in his playing and he knows that, I think its special man. It's why we are all here.

Funny enough, after listening to a substantial amount of this band for the past few years, going to my first DCI rehearsal/show in several years, I heard wayyyy more subtleties in what was being performed than I ever did before my Wongnotes/Hornheads days. This band makes music listeners better!

Marching band (in MN!) was where I first learned about playing in different parts of the subdivision to compensate for the distance to the stands. I had just switched from trumpet to tuba and sousaphones were usually upstage so it took some adjustment to push air through 4x as much tubing to get it to reach a point 40 yards away at the same time all the other instruments on the field.
