Minnesota’s most competitive race for congress is expected to be in the 2nd Congressional District - it’s one of the few districts in America that voted for Donald Trump in 2016 and then for Joe Biden in 2020.
With a district that has a history of flipping between both parties in major elections, can three-term incumbent Rep. Angie Craig (D-Minn.) hold on to her seat? Will her Republican challenger Joe Teriab’s conservative ideology appeal to voters this election cycle?

When Tim walz ran for reelection he promised a giant tax rebate for Minnesotans. My middle class family would have received 3600 bucks. We got 0 dollars and an increase in taxes.

@@johnbeargrease6784 Your effective tax rate is very likely below 35%. In other countries, like Germany, it is closer to 50%. In other words - you currently live in the richest country in the world, and enjoy very favorable tax rates, yet you complain about the gubmint not giving you a free handout. Pull yourself up by your bootstraps like the rest of us. Only billionaires get handouts.

@@johnbeargrease6784 No, they don't. No citizens in the US pay more than 50% of their income in taxes. I am getting a new job where I will be earning 90k. My effective tax rate is 27%. That is state, federal, FICA, and medicaid.

Angie Craig should be the Republican candidate and a real Democrat should be running against her. Glad she pro-womens healthcare at least though.
