The Tibetan New year, also known as Losar, is the most important festival in the Tibetan calendar. It is celebrated over a period of 2 weeks, As Losar draws near, joyous and festive atmosphere permeates Tibetan around the world. Brimming with happiness, Tibetans are busy with purchasing goods for the coming new year, including new clothes, five-colored prayer flag trees, butter sculptures, highland barley seedlings, dried highland barley dyed with different colors as well as various pastries and flowers. Now, let’s hang out on the street to discover how to prepare for celebrating a peaceful, tasty and joyous Tibetan New Year.
