Not really, the Fever shooters were just ice cold. Other than Clark they were all missing open 3s. Clark got a lot of defensive attention so her shooting was down a little. She had to force some tough shots to try to keep them in the game and missed a few that are normally easy shots. But the Fever dominated the first half, even with bad shooting.

Lynx has so much poise, control, and allows the game to come to them, even with a slow start. Everyone works so well together - the experience shows! 5 on court have great peripheral on where others are, there is no searching when passing. Great game, Lynx. 🔥

Thoughts on why Indiana lost? The crucial differences? Looking at the highlights which may be misleading, it seemed they lost too many points in the paint when they were defending especially close to the basket.

Lynx is the best team in the league right now, but I think the Fever is on their way to peaking at the right time. Fever needs to come up with a couple set plays when two defenders collapse on her right after she passes half court. Where is her help? Also, WTAF happened to using a timeout during the third as they were getting pummeled. Sides look like the hard drive in her brain froze. Absolutely lost all leadership for an entire quarter.

There was a time earlier this season when CC appeared very tentative, would pass up shots to try to make a pass to a teammate, that I thought CC should shoot a little bit more but I understood a conscious choice had been made to work on the passing and the teamwork, and I think that has really paid off for Indy. I think Clark is now playing at a higher level with better decisions on when to shoot and when to pass to a teammate but Lynx a very good team.

Bball is about matchups and the fever's frontcourt players just get owned by this LYNX team. Nyesha is too small. K lou is too slow. Tami F gives them some size, but zero offense. Also, Dantas is usually a factor off the bench. She wasn't tonight and the final score reflects that. Even CC and fever lose the games are entertaining. Hard to win giving up almost 100 pts.

Exactly. They are actually very similar to MN in terms of pace, which is impressive because MN plays at a high level. MN has recently become a lot better defensively like CT. I say this to say that defensive prowess can be taught. They all need to take a page out of Lexie’s book. If she’s defending you, it’s going to be a long game. If the Fever can conquer the defensive side of things, they’re a playoff team every season from here on out.

There are a lot of similarities between now and when Sidney Crosby entered the NHL. He was “the next one” and was targeted heavily by opposing teams physically often in cheap ways and sometimes reacted immaturely and was called a whiner for complaining to the refs. There was also the rivalry between him and Alexander Ovechkin although Alex actually was an elite player and Angel is mostly hype. Eventually Sid matured and became highly respected and won everything that can be won and the question of who was the best was no longer relevant. I imagine the same will happen with Caitlin and the Fever.

Fever can learn more from losing. Lynx are a better, deeper team. Fever were able to lead for a while and even staged a comeback. But they need to cover the flaws because they are still a small team. They have to double team in the paint because they don't have confidence in defending 1 on 1 in the paint. Plus the opposing team shot the lights out from 3, but then again in all of the Fever losses, it was like that(giving up 3s). Fever got to keep improving. Don't want to face the Lynx in the playoff though.

maybe if the refs called a fair game ... she would have complained less ... the lynx literally had 2 times as many foul shots ... that is extremely biased officiating ... the lynx won by less than the difference in foul shots the lynx had 12 more free throws ... but actually committed more fouls
