More Minnesotans were engaged in the Battle of Nashville, the last major battle of the Civil War, than any other. One hundred and fifty years later, a state delegation travelled to Nashville to explore the roles of Minnesota regiments in the decisive Battles of Franklin and Nashville in December 1864. Commentary by Eric Jacobson and members of the Minnesota Civil War Commemoration Task Force.

I am very proud to have participated in this memorial event. The Battles of Franklin and Nashville are dramatically important to Minnesotans and this memorial will help preserve this precious heritage.

I am proud to be in a family that has owned a home that became a civil war hospital from the Battle of Nashville for over a century.

I was at the Battle of Nashville remembrance celebrations in Nashville yesterday on December 13, 2014, and learned so much. Thank you for this film, it was very moving. I visited Fort Negley yesterday, and will be going to Shy's Hill and the Nashville National Cemetery while I'm visiting Nashville in the coming weeks. THANK YOU for making this film...
